Dealership Scratch

Got a car wash at the dealership after my oil change.. They ended up scratching all my tint. Yeah i know about the felt and how it makes vertical scratch lines but these lines are Swrill marks. The worse part seems to be in the back window, where it seems they used some sort of tool to clean the hard to reach parts. I called the dealership and say "i highly doubt we caused the scratches" I took the car in this past saturday and they looked at it and told me they would give me a call on what they would do about it. They didnt call so i called back today (tues) and they told me they need to look at it again. This time the manager...

Anyone else have any scratches either on the paint or on their interior after going to a dealership carwash???

Yet again, another example of why you shouldnt let the dealer wash your car

i had my car in last week where they were working on my rear windshield...I asked them specifically not to wash it, they did, and left about a 10 inch scratch on my rear trunk lid

I too recently got a wash in spite of my specific instruction that they do not wash it; said instruction was even printed on the work order. So they didn't charge me for the alignment they did. Sort of bothered me, but it's not like mine's a show car that doesn't already have hundreds of paint chips on the hood, so I decide I have to let things like this go. But if they noticeably messed it up, you can bet I would have pursued it. So should you.

I'd never let the dealer wash my car. They probably re-use rags, and all the dirt and stuff on the rags from the previous wash will scratch your car.

Lol, maybe I should get some shoe polish and write on my windows "do not wash this car" lol

umm your tint in on the interior side of the glasses right ?
so they "washed" the interior ? and thus scratched it ?

when they do carwash, they do interior and exterior. The scratches are annoying at night when the headlights of cars in the back reflect off the rear window with the scratches on it. You can see all the scratches they made.

I think my dealer would be too lazy to wash the inside of the back window.

I NEVER let the dealership wash my car. I always have the service advisor write "DO NOT WASH" on the top of hte work order and circle it with a red marker. However... the IDIOT porter ALWAYS washes it. This is the third time this has happened to me. I'm starting to get pissed.
There are swirl mark like things on the paint everytime they wash it. They just drive it through the machine.

Next time, make sure they don't wash the interior windows. Not even my dealer washes my interior windows, just to avoid problems such as this. Definitely go back to the dealer, and make them fix this problem.

A week ago, after getting my first oil change at the dealership. The kid that washed my car crashed it into a pole, tearing up the passenger side pretty good. Now the dealership is working on getting me a new car, but who knows what is going to happen. It has not been a very good experience at Duval Acura in Jacksonville, FL.

I picked up my brand new TSX today.
Shortly after I found a pretty bad scratch on the trunk lid (it had been filled-in with touch-up paint).

My dealer is taking care of it now/tomorrow. (I believe they're fixing/repainting the trunk) I just hope that it comes out alright.

While waiting for service rep to return my car ( I was browsing the Acura products for sale in the service lobby) I observed a service dept. customer complain about a big scratch on her car. The service guy reaches around me to the car care products, grabs a tube of ScratchX and a rag, goes out to her car, rubs for about ten seconds, and then PUTS THE TUBE BACK ON THE SHELF FOR SALE!! They sell AIO and SG there, too. Guess I should check the bottle seals...
