Dealership extras..
I'm about to purchase a 2007 TSX w/ navi. The two dealers here in NJ will not negotiate any lower than 28,788 + TTL. (8.15% tax) & ((inventory is low))
That seems a bit high to me. What do you guys recommend I ask the dealer to throw in? Free oil changes, mats, ect?

Is that NJ tax I thought it was 7%. which dealer in jersey. there are quite alot of them so you should try others. when I bought my 06 in nov 06. I bought it from a dealer in Pa that got the car from the acura dealer in Ramsey. I got trunk tray, wheel locks, door-edge guards, mud guards, painted-on pinstripes and lifetime oil changes included in my purchase price. if you do not ask you will never know. good luck. i have a milano red/ebony 6 spd w/nav and it has over 16,000 miles. love it

The tax is for NY, since I live in NY...that's what I have to pay.
I went to Park Ave Acura and Open road Acura in NJ.
I think I may just wait a few more weeks, until the end of the month. Put more pressure on the dealer. I have no problem holding out. I'm just worried since the inventory is so low.
No sign of 2008's yet?

$28,800 is a little high but to be expected at this time of year. I got my 06 5AT w/ Navi in May of 06 for around $28,300 + accessories + TTL. I was able to include in the deal a discount price/labor for $1700 total for the following accessories:
- a-spec kit
- rear wing spoiler
- OEM cargo net (I purchased on-line, they installed for free)
- Metal trim kit
- Moon roof air deflector
- Door edge guard
- Mud flaps (traded for door edge guard because of a-spec kit)
- Free 1st service
It is hard to add accessories after a price quote. You might be able to get an extended warranty or first couple of services for free.

Theres nothing wrong with that price. $500 over invoice is not a bad deal. The dealer needs to make some money. $601 in hold back that means the dealership is making $1,100.

I ended up bringing my vehicles to Ryan's Open Road Acura in East Brunswick for service. They are a top notch operation, and their service manager keeps me informed of everything. On the next service visit for my MDX, the service manager called me up and informed me that it looked like someone had "tampered" with the oil pan drain plug threads!
As far as the TSX, I purchased from Bridgewater Acura in April '05... and I got my car w/ navi new for invoice. Their salesperson worked with me, and we got the deal done. If I ever had to buy another Acura, I'd go there or Ryan's Open Road. To the OP, did you get internet quotes? That's how I purchased my last 3 vehicles. Fielding quotes from several dealers (local or not) really helps you get the best price.
And to this day, I drive the extra miles to service my cars at Open Road. The saddest part is that my office is 2 miles from Acura of Ocean.
