Dealer experience

I'm new to this forum although I've been following it for a while. I plan to buy a TSX (my first optionP) but am also considering considering others such as the Mazda6 or the Accord. Since I will be moving to an area that is at least 40 miles away from where I live, I'm concerned about limited service. Do any of you have any experience with dealing with Acura dealers even if you lived far away from it. Thanks.

MAZDA 6 cannot come close to the TSX, the interior is 10000 times worse than the TSX......and i think you should look at the outside of the honda.....it looks SO UGLY compared to the TSX.

acura's dont usually need service.....thats the major buying point........

if they do need service.....they'll come pick up your car FOR YOU and leave you a loaner

Can't say that they'll actually pick up your car and leave you a loaner (I know that the likes of Maserati/Aston Martin do that, but not sure 'bout Acura), but when it comes down to it, service for any car is a hassle...Hopefully Acura will be better than Mazda, at the least, an Acura should be more mechanically sound, but there is no doubt in my mind (granted a biased TSX owner) that it is a better car all around. Distance sounds tough, but imho, worth it ~ Hope this helps, Steven

Welcome jng!

From what I've heard, dealing with distant dealers shouldn't be an issue, but it is not impossible that you fall on a bad one, as it is with every company.

If it goes in for service, the're going to take your car for a test drive anyway.

I recently relocated to northern virginia from southern california and all of the dealers that I dealt with back in SoCal were great. The new dealer that I've chosen now, Radley Acura, gave me an excellent impression. I brought my car in for a simple oil change and quick visual inspection. The car was finished in less than an hour and they didn't charge me for it. Throw in the free car wash and it was a good experience. I look forward to going back there in 10K miles.

And you'll do what if they put on a few miles on it?
Face it, the only way to avoid someone else driving your car is to do all the service yourself.
