Damn Cats!!

I parked my car outside yesterday night (cause the garage was taken) and low and behold I go shopping today and find PAW PRINTS all over my hood and roof! It was like a wet cat decided to dy itself off on my car. Hot damn if I find that cat I am gonna spanks its ass and maybe the owners too. I am gonna wash it later today and hopefully I won't find any scratches on my paint. I have a NBP TSX and ya'll know how black is at showing imperfections. I am sooo pissed right now. Grrr!!

Aargh, they use to do that to my car all the time in the winter. A good coat of wax helps a lot. They friggin' slide right off.

you're lucky that the cats didn't scratch the paint on your car.

but, please don't blame all the cats and don't run over any cats you see now. j/k. :P

I found the cat and located the owner. I guarantee that they won't come anywhere near my car again. I need to put my hand in an ice pack. J/K. I washed my car and now it's perfect again. Pulled my gf's car out of the garage and put mine in. I didn't notice any scratches, thank God. Now I have to go put a coat of wax on it so the cat will slide off fo sho.

eh, her car is a 2004 red solara mt. We agreed that since my car is worth more, we'd garage my car or just take turns. And if that damn cat comes around again, I am gonna send my dogs after it.

If it is for sure someone's pet, tell them that their cat should be kept inside just like a dog has to be on a leash. If it is a stray cat or if the owner says, :whocares: then call the animal control center and they will give a trap to use for a while and when you catch it, bring it to them and they will handle it. I love pets and they don't know any better but it they are their owner's responsibility. I don't let my dog roam freely when in populated areas. He is cool when at home since I live in the sticks but other than that, I can't afford to take the chance of hime snapping at someone.

This is exactly what happened to my wife's 99 Civic. Its parked overnight in our driveway and this cat from across the street likes to sleep on the rear trunk overnight. I guess the cat screwed up jumping onto the car one night because it left two scratches (3 parallel lines about 3 inches long) on the edge. We were so . But, whadayagonnado. I know the cat still sleeps there cause we see the pawprings in the dew but we never see it in the evenings or in the mornings. Is there any way to keep that cat from sleeping on the car? I was thinking of sprinkling paprika on the trunk in the hopes that the cat would get it on its paws and burn its tounge when cleaning up. Any other ideas?

I have actually found the problem to be worse after I wax the car. My best guess is that when the cat jumps up and starts to slip and slide, the claws come out. After a fresh wax, I'm more likely to find scratches than just paw prints. Of course, I'm not going to stop waxing because of this, but it's food for thought.

I thought about a car cover, but decided against it. I feel that a car cover (in my apt. complex) would invite some punk kid to key or scratch it. I just don't want to take a chance of that happening. Since summer is here and all the kids are at home with nothing to do, a car cover just begs the bad kids to mess with my car or my gf's car.

Here's what you do next time:

1. Find the kitty cat
2. Run the little paint-scratching bastard over with your TSX
3. Stick the cat behind the rear wheel of it's owners car

That way kitty cat is "no more" and the owner thinks he ran it over! Just my two cents.....
