Convertible TSX Rumors

Sorry if this is a repost:

"Acura dealers quoted by AutoWeek said they have heard rumors that Acura could be planning coupe and convertible versions of the TSX, which sells at about $28,500."

Wonder if they are considering a hard top convertible.

If FWD is so horrible, then why in the word did you buy a TSX? :what:

its not sooo horrible. i love my car.

its just that if they were doing a sport/luxury coupe/convertable, it wouldn't sell well...

look at every generatin CL? --- Hell i even had a 3.0CL... I wouldn't mind it.

but if they ever want to be taken seriously in that market they're going to have to go that route...

otherwise, next gen G35c or even 330ci coupe for me and 90% of the other buyers out there.

"leave the low end products to honda"?

if that is the case, the s2000 should switch badge as an acura =)

IF they make one
i highly doubt it will be a hard top covertible
soft tops save weight, are cheaper, and honda/acura has yet to come out with a retractable hard top, and i doubt it that the TSX will be the first one

LOL! I could tell even before I looked at your profile that you live in a warm climate. That's the #1 reason I almost immediately ruled out the Lexus IS before buying my TSX. It doesn't matter if you have traction control and snow tires...a car without FWD just isn't practical in snow.

i know and your'e right. i used to live in New Jersey, and thats when I had inherited my dad's 3.0CL...

then I ended up buying my TSX cuz i loved Acura so much. He went with the 3.0CL over a 325Ci back in 97 because of the RWD FWD thing...

problem is, at the end of the day... sales are sales, and FWD is a biggg thing that holds a lotta people who buy cars in this class back. they want a sports coupe, and i dont care what acura/honda engineers do, the LSD can't help all the torque steer, its just not possible for a FWD to handle over 300hp high performance way.

Although I agree with you, its worth pointing out the Pontiac G6 comes in a hardtop convertible starting around 28-29k. More and more manufacturers are starting to go the way of the hard top (BMW 3 series, Volvo C70, Pontiac G6, VW)
