Comfort Level - Acura TSX vs Acura TL

I don't care too much about the V6 engine or more horses for the TL, but just care about the comfort level (noise, seats, etc.)

How much difference is there between the TSX and 04+ TLs? Thanks.

Have you test driven either? Nothing beats sitting in both cars and really driving them to see what you like better. Some really like the quality of the leather in the TL as well as the sound system in it. Others like how "clean" the TSX looks inside. It's just personal preference.

I would think the TL would be at least a notch higher than the TSX in the comfort department.

TL has more cabin room.

I had a chance to drive both over the same strech of highway. The TL is quieter going down the road (not that the TSX is noisy, but the TL is definitely quieter). The TL's ride is "cushier", but on hard turns, this turns to "mushier", IMHO. I love driving my TSX in the mountains, but on a long, cross-country road trip, I'd pick the TL for more room, and a quieter ride.

I like the leather in the TL. So soft and supple.

Think of it this way...the TL targets a slightly older and more graying customer who appreciates a cushier feel and a little more isolation. The TSX is intended for a slightly younger customer who appreciates more attachment to the drive and better feedback.

Design-wise, I think the TSX has a better layout in general than the TL, though the TL's isn't exactly lacking, either.

It's up to you to decide just how much comfort you need versus how engaging a driving experience you want.

When I had the 2005 TL as a loaner for a day I thought it was a nice comfortable right (leather had a more luxury feel to it), but the extra cabin room made it feel like I was steering a boat compared to the TSX. I didn't like how I couldn't really "feel" the turns, but the comfort and noise level was slightly better in the TL than the TSX. Overall though, the size of the cabin would be a deterrent for me and prefer the cabin size of the TSX over the TL.

I sat in the TL, it def felt much more comfortable than the TSX. You sink right into the seats. Not enough support for me thoug, thats one of the reasons i didn't buy it. I like a stiffer feel.

TL is more comfy - softer bigger seats (but you get butt prints), roomier, quieter. softer ride.
TSX is all about sportiness IMO

It's definitely personal pref. No doubt TL is slightly more in tune for comfort, but TSX is quite comfortable in its own rights. So this one depends on your driving pref. Go test drive both and decide for yourself

You should check out the new GS... My friend just traded in his TL for a new Lexus GS300... The new GS is amazing inside and out! SO many amenties and the Navi even plays DVD movies! I would totally take the GS over the TL for comfort and luxury, but for sportiness no... because the GS is still a Lexus which means driving a Lexus can be pretty boring.

But yeah back on topic... I sat in a TL at the LA Auto Show and I have to say that the seats are more softer while the TSX's are alot more firmer... both cars are comfortable though.

The new GS looks real nice. The commercials make it looks awesome! The Navi plays DVDs!!!!!! What the F?!!?!?!? I would definitely pick up the GS instead of the TL if only it wasn't a load of money more.

The price difference between the two is quite staggering, especially when equipped similarly...

the GS and TL aren't even comparable. the RL is the GS's competition.

I say the Tsx is for us 18- 28 year old crew heh

Too many families own and are driving the Tls
or a BMW, Audi

I like the Tsx for its simple looks and style, not too much in overkilling.
Tl hids I like a bit better in my opinion heh the bi xenon

I forgot doesn't tl also have awd ? or is that the rl?

the tl is more comfortable and quiet, but not by a lot. the soundsystem is better, but like everything else that's better about the tl, you're paying for it. either way, you're spending your $ wisely.

More than anything Kenji, it's best if you go test drive both cars to the full extent.

Well true the TL has more power...
But with Comptech releasing the TSX supercharger with an aftercooler, and Hondata working on something for the K24A2 who cares? The TSX is definitely more fun to drive than the TL, the TSX will out handle a TL in the corners IMO.

If this car is only for you, driving to work daily, etc. I think you should consider the TL but if you are going to be driving for the thrill and excitement on the open road... TSX is for you.. IMO

Test drive both, because both are comfortable, although they speak to different kinds of comfort. I leased a TSX in preference to the TL, because the interior was more tight, visually, and functionally. I found the TSX seats to be much more supportive than the TL, which was a major consideration.

I wasn't able to hear any difference in noise level, which is not to say that it doesn't exist.
