TSX is made for luxury so if you're going for the cushiony ride tsx all the way, if you want more power i'd go with the accord v6 and if you want a sporty look but no tmuch substance.. get the civic

I'd hardly call the TSX ride "cushiony"

I went and test drove the civic si sedan 2 days ago and I liked it, of course the TSX is much better. The power seemed similar on both of them to me. The civic felt more "flickable" I guess but both of them were enough for me.

The accord is out I'm definitely not going to get that and people on here have said that's expensive for a used TSX. So, I'm gonna look around more at used TSX prices and see if I can bring them down a little bit, if not I'll probably end up going with the civic si.

So many more things that are so much, much more important in your life than a new car now now now. I know it's virtually impossible to listen to this and I doubt you made it this far before your eyes glazed over, but I implore you to reconsider.

That being said, I'd still go with the more practical Accord (maybe a 1 yr old Accord??) over the Si or TSX - again, at your age.
Good luck explaining any of that to a 19 year old. You couldn't have explained that to me when I was 24.

Eh... I'm definitely going to take that into account. I have a seperate savings aside from what I'm using for my car for other things and it never gets touched and has an interest rate higher than most CD's.

Anyway, I understand a car is a depreciating value but at the same time I'm going to keep this car for a very long time and would prefer something I can rely on, so I don't feel that ~21k for a civic si is that much considering what I want/need. 25k for a TSX may be pushing it but we'll see.

I thought you were talking about the ride quality of the TSX which is quite firm. Were you actually talking about the level of luxury? If so, then I agree with you, the TSX is a step up over the Accord and Civic.

I personally thought the TSX was too slow for me. I fought in my brain for AGES over the TSX vs Accord. I got the Accord. The Civic was just too small.

As the owner of an 06 Accord Coupe (the 6MT), I will tell you that the backseat has PLENTY of room. Legroom is about the same as the sedan, just don't slide the seats back all the way (you're short like me so you'll be sitting closer to the steering wheel anyway).

Ingress and egress is sort of a pain. But it's not that bad. Especially on the driver's side with the instant seatback lever (even though the driver's seat is power). Headroom in the back seats is lower than the sedan. Leg and shoulder room is roughly equivalent.

Basically it boils to luxury vs power and ingress/egress. If you want easier to get inside and more luxury, choose the TSX. If you want power and sportier styling, choose the Accord (but wait until september when the new one comes out, I bought mine in 06 and desperately needed it as my old car's tranny was blowing up so I sold it before it blew and cut my losses).

A few things I've noticed about the Accord:

-OUTSTANDING fuel efficiency for a V6, especially in 6MT form. I always ALWAYS get better than the sticker, unless I'm abusing VTEC all day long, and even then it's not that bad. Mileage only slightly lower than TSX in real world driving.
-It's got plenty of room
-Runs on REGULAR gas (especially with gas prices going up EVEN MORE)
-Doesn't attract attention (of the Po) unlike Civic SI.

Here's a pic of me with mine.

Compared to the Accord, it isn't cushiony. Compared with the Civic, I suppose its more cushiony... but not by a lot.....

um if the TSX isn't cushiony compared to the accord.. than why doesn't everyone just get the accord? it's cheaper isn't it?
and plus it's not just the cushiony factor, it's also the luxuries that come with the TSX that the accord doesn't...
