Chrysler 300/ Dodge Magnum

I just drove a 300C Hemi this afternoon
My thoughts:
The Mercedes-based suspension is excellent
The acceleration is incredible
It is surprisingly nimble
The optional 380-watt stereo w/ subwoofer is very good
The seats very comfortable
The room is most generous both front and back
But..........
There is an incredible amount of cheap-looking, easily scratched plastic. It rattles badly. With 495 miles on it, it looked like our old Oldsmobile did after several years of use! Dings, cuts, scrapes, stains, etc. already marred the demo vehicle's interior plastic. The switches feel very flimsy (headlights, radio, climate control). It almost had the feel inside of an old Monogram or Revell model kit. The asking price for this particular 300C Hemi was $39,000+ with added dealer mark-up.
I just can't get past the cheapy feel. It was *very* disappointing.
Stay with your TSX's, they have a much better fit and finish all the way around. That would be my advice.
Now the Volvo V-70R that I was in today was a different story, but that's not for this dg.
Cheers,
Dr. Daryl

That's the general impression I get from 99% of all American cars. Once you get past the candy shell there's not much inside. I have been eyeing the new C6 corvette but I'm not sure what the quality will be like. I'm not expecting a Honda with a V8 but I do want decent switch gear and plastics. Anyone seen one in person? I saw it at the auto show in Toronto but I couldn't get anywhere near it.
