I was totally thinking the other day that the parking break would be the perfect spot to mount my celly. But a rubber band didn't come to mind. That is a little GHETTO! I din't think Canada was Ghetto compliant.

BTW, I think a rubber band tie around the head:
During driving --> stop blood flowing --> driver faint --> accident
During working --> stop blood flowing --> start feeling dizzy --> talk to manager --> getting a day off

That's the phone I wanted!
How do you like it? It's not cheap here in the US, so I ended up getting a Nokia 6230 instead.. Bluetooth, but I couldn't afford the TL to accessorize with the phone..
Nice cheap ass mod!

Wow... I've never started a thread that gets this many replies relatively quickly
Thanks all for the compliment... Yeah, I should post this little mod idea to that cheap mods listing thread...
Now get ready for my replies to followup questions posted!

Having said that, I am still slowly figuring out just what the hell "Ghetto" means

So I got no bluetooth on the phone anyway. It's a long story how I ended up with this phone, but I did pay for it legit! It's a "grey" import from Hong Kong, anyone notice the non-English (Chinese) command wording near the bottom of the display??
And anyone notice my cellphone wallpaper as the Realtime TSX?!?!?
6230 is a nice phone... you can probably also strap it on the e-brake handle and use the built-in speaker phone!

First of all, becoz the phone didn't come with an oem clip. Then here are the other reasons:
- $ for clip > $ for rubber band
- clip on sun visor leaves an indentation on the visor (did that on a previous car with another phone)
- distance and angle of "mounting" at sun visor is less ergonomical than on the e-brake handle
- having the phone on the sun visor would still distract driving vision
- can't work if/when I need to flip the sunvisor down or even worse to swing it sideway (not that I do that much)

Pfft, how about an industrial strength fatty rubber band on the visor.. No marks, no money, easily moves around when you need to flip the visor down..
Boom!
..Patent Pending..

That's is really geto indeed!
Seriously though, I'd keep an eye out on this company as I've purchased phone holders for my cars from this site in the past years. They haven't made one yet for the TSX and I'm not sure if they will since the holder might be in the way of the passenger airbag if it deploys and might pose a liability. Here's a couple photos of previous holders i had:

Here's mine...have had it since my 2000 Accord. $29.99 from Meijer. Can't find this anywhere anymore, uses a magnet...
...and closeup of cell cradle
it isn't the cleanest install but it does the job. I can pick up the phone and set it down or use the speakerphone.
