Charmed - this Milano is still Red hot

After 15 weeks she finally arrived (the car, not Alyssa). I don't believe pics of red with ebony are widespread here so here are a couple:

The first mod was removing the OEM tires and putting on Turanza LS-V's. I'm selling the new Michelins on the Black Market if anyone's interested. The car seems rock-solid. The doors shut with a nice thunk, the tires are very quiet on the highway, and the car idles almost completely silently. The engine revs about 1k rpm higher at the same speed as my old Audi, and it just wants me to red-line it, I know it The gearbox is extremely smooth and I'm still adjusting to the clutch as it is lighter than the A4. I did have trouble with putting the shifter into reverse in a parking spot and accidentally hit 6th. I know now that reverse is WAY over on the right side.

The radio is very good quality in my opinion, but I listen at volumes less than 20 typically. I did notice that XM has a noticeably poorer sound quality than CD's or an "HD" FM station. The car has no rattles and the driver's seat does not squeak after 95 miles. The engineers have done well there. Got a nice complement from a BMW owner in his 50's in well-to-do Naperville out here so I've got that going for me (which is nice).

The interior feel is very comparable to a new Audi (IMO). I'd heard a few grumblings about a cheap or plasticky feel with the TSX. I don't get that at all. A few more weeks of break-in and I'll see what she's got I guess. I appreciate all of the threads and posts on this site in helping me make my decision--so far it's a thumbs up

Thanks all. I ordered the car at the end of January because at the time a 6MT/navi was about as rare as enriched uranium around the midwest Took 14 weeks to arrive and 1 more week for my sales guy to return from Hawaii....

The red always seems like such a beautiful car. Is it as hard to keep clean as the black??

I love it!!! When I in the process of buying the TSX, that was my number one choice. But the dealership couldn't get for a couple of weeks so I took the ABP w/ Ebony Interior. If I get the TSX again in the future, I'm definitely buying the MR!! Bastard!!!

The red actually hides light dust really well, and being a dark color, it is pretty immune to swirl marks

I have an 05 MR with parchment, and aside from some rock chips on the front bumper and the hood, the paint is pretty close to flawless still

Very nice. That's the color combination that I originally wanted, but it wasn't available for the 2004 model

See, this is why I dont buy the whole notion that a 6MT would sell less then an AT. There is always someone out there that is looking for a stick, and when they find it, they will pay.

Congrats dude!

My last honda was a MR/ebony. It was my first choice for the tsx but ended up getting white instead. Congrats!

welcome to the tsx world fellow owner of a 06 milano red/ebony 6 spd. I am keeping the car just the way I bought it-no mods for me. The only extras are the mud guards, door edge guards, trunk tray, wheel locks and black and gray painted on pin-stripes. Bought it new nov. 06 has almost 9,000 miles and love it.

got the best choice of options I see. I had an 05 MR and it was a nice looking color. Make sure you put a coat of wax on before too long though.

With all due respect, I disagree. You've done some nice things, but you're lacking in two places:

1) Tan is not ebony (although I admit red/tan is a classic sportscar interior)... but more importantly,

2) 5AT is definitely not 6MT.

Otherwise, great car!... wow, I just noticed some of your underbody spoilers are partially flat (?) black? Man, that looks really cool...

Congrads man, now please don't put any "Win Twins" bumper stickers on that beautiful car

I rarely see Red Milano TSX's ever.

Did you go Continental Acura, McGrath Acura Westmont, or Ed Napleton Acura? Those are the only Acura dealers I know down where you are at.

Nice TSX dwest, did you paint that area where the exhausts are?

Is that your Miata also in the background?

What kind of window tint do you have? Do you know what the percentage is? Looks good!
