I am looking to buy a TSX in the next few months and I have a question about the interior.

Has anyone had a dealer change out the wood tone trim in the parchment interior for the brushed aluminum in the other color interiors? I was at a dealer this weekend and the salesman said that he had never heard of it done and didn't know it it COULD be done.

I can't stand the wood trim and I thought that this would be a way for me to have White Pearl as one of my choices. My first choice is Satin Silver w/quartz.

It CAN be done according to the parts list and service manual. How much it costs, and how long it takes (labor) I don't know. But it is possible. Go for it. I'd like to see it.

there are a few threads about this....

every piece is about 20-40 bucks... the two on the doors , u gota remove the panels to change it

u can't change the middle piece unless u change the whole
cd player/temp consol, which cost about 900bucks USD

Hmmm... Well, I was wondering if they could just switch the panels with another car. I know most dealers don't like to do this.

If the aluminum pieces are $20-$40 per piece then what would the wood trim pieces that they take out of the car be worth? I would guess the same. Could probably sell the wood trim on Ebay. For a discount.

Not likely. The VIN specifies the interior spec. They would not make a change that req'd lots of paperwork.
