Changing HID Bulbs Conflicts?

Changing HID Bulbs Conflicts?
So I own a 2nd Gen TSX. But I have a question for those who swapped their HID low beams to a higher intensity to like 8000k. (Its pretty much the same between the 1st gen and the 2nd gen. Or is it?) Did you guys experience any conflicts over time? The dealership told me that if i were to swap the OEM bulbs for aftermarket ones they would burn the wiring but i really wanna change them so if anyone has any info it would be greatly apprecitated. Thanks.

I have after market HID bulbs installed (5000K) Low beams and fogs and have absolutely NO problems. if you stick to a 35w low beam you should be problem free. The dealer sounds like he doesn't know his a$$ from a hole in the ground.
Your probably aware of this, but going with an 8000K bulb - expect to have significantly less light output.

I agree with the above posted. The only way you will burn the wiring is if you get a higher wattage drawing bulb. Just get the same wattage (35W I'm guessin for the 2nd gen since i have 1st) and you will be fine. Ditto on the 8000K being bad light output compared to the stock and lower numbers. I wouldn't go above 6000K for looks and use to be of the best balance.

Yea, never exceed wattage with any car bulbs. Sounds like the dealer just wants you to buy stock parts off him.
You'll loose a significant amt of light output even with 6000K.

Yeah i'm aware of the 8000k deal. Did you change your bulbs on the low beam yourself? or did you get them down? i couldn't seem to detach the bulb from the housing when i tried it myself. There was a wire that i couldn't take off did you have this problem?
P.s. Thanks all for the great information. really appreciate it.
