cars are smoother at night?
didn't really know how to search that so i'm just wondering if it's true.
i'm not sure if cars just seem smoother at night because there is less traffic, or if the engine has settled in because of the warm weather during the day.
i just always find nightime driving to be much more enjoyable.

hot temperature always makes people tempers flare.
plus, people are more relaxed at night in general.
just a state of mind

, , i love nightdriving, no traffic, all the traffic lights are green, and it's just cool relaxing air. Plus temperature dropping actually does help car perform better.

I brought this up awhile ago. I agree, night is just so much better for driving.

Wonder if it has something to do with the soothing, cool blue-white light that infuses the dash, followed by crisp headlamp illumination of the road and shoulder - My old Jetta had orange lighting, and I always had the feeling that I was about to be beamed up to the Enterprise any moment and would have to jettison the shuttle - not too calming. But the blue light................
Domn's thread is accurate, the air is cooler, the feel is different. But think the lights have something to do with it................
of course, it may also be because can't be easily seen going on due to the darkness, and it is safely out of my vision...............

All green lights at night! Not in the suburbs of Vancouver. Most of them stay green then randomly go red for no reason. No traffic, pedestrians or anything, just go red to stop everyone. It really sucks.

I feel the need...
Not to sound too dorky, but my OEM engineering friends tell me that nighttime driving usually means cooler temps which equates to cooler air = better combustion of fuel/air mixture = more power = "smother driving".

I don't notice the TSX is smoother in the rain., but in my old 'teg, when it rains, it feels smoother...probably because the rain is cleaning up the joints or lubricating it??
