Carbon Gray TSX

I have a CG TSX coming in very soon.

Would you guys get a spoiler put on it?

Also, would you guys get tint?

Your opinions, and/or pictures with the above will be appreciated.

Tint =
Spoiler = :thumbsdn:

I think most spoilers are overused and purely decoration.
The Infiniti G35 sedan and coupe are offered with spoilers and while they aren't the best looking they do reduce rear lift and are beneficial in that regard. That is the only reason why I would add a spoiler.

But afterall, it is your car.

I think jwaters has it right here. No spoiler, for sure on tint. IMHO, all the spoiler does is muddy up the lines. Get fog light instead

I like the spoiler on my CG, but can't attach a 1 byte file. I'll PM you with it.

***Edit
Well, I guess you can't attach to a PM either. If you go to the "other" site (Sorry I HATE posting links to that crap site), you can see my TSX compared to a 4DR Accord.

Tint is fine....and so is the spoiler. But, I personally wouldn't put the spoiler on because the a$$ on the TSX is already high and rear visibility is poor already. This will just make it worse...IMO.

My $.02

i totally agree...

tint is a must have... to make the car look better as well as to protect your leather inside.

spoiler messes up the "flow" of the car.

with that money, i would also rather get fog lights. fog lights look much better than the spoiler IMO.

I don't disagree with anyone's opinions so far, but I made this point in another thread, the cost of a spoiler is like $8.33 a payment on the car assuming it is borrowed for 60 mths at 3.75% and nothing down. That isn't so bad if you like the looks. As for the fog lights, I'm going to have those too b/c my wife is probably the most wonderful woman in the world (buying them for my b-day). She also bought me a second set of wheels.

Basically, I can send pictures to anyone interested in looking at it from different angles. Personally, it doesn't block my rear view at all. I think it does add just a little more sport "look" to the car and once I get the $$ to buy a slightly lower set of shocks, the whole package will look absolutely great.

That's my $0.02 USD.

Here is my plan for anyone interested in adding shots:

1. Looking at the rear from outside
2. Rear 1/4 from the side
3. Looking at the rear from drivers mirror (if I can make it work)
4. Looking at the rear facing backwards from the driver's seat
5. 45 degree angle to the car

The tint is a good idea, but the spoiler is not. I find most cars look best without the spoilers and the TSX is definitely one of them. The trunk is short, high and attractive and the spoiler just wrecks it. IMO, I think the spoiler kind of makes the TSX look like a hatchback.

No offense to all those owners who purchased the spoiler, it is just not for me on the TSX.

Here are links to pics of my CG TSX with body kit and no spoiler. Also tinted. PM Me if you want more. The tint is as dark as Texas law will allow.

Too bad it's all crunched up on one side now and doesn't look as pretty.

My tint is as legal as you can go in Texas.
I THINK it's 35% on sides, and 25% in back. It's close to that anyway. I also think it's a little confusing because I took that picture on such a bright day.

Personally i will be getting the Spoiler. Why? To make my self different from all these old people driving the TSX without a Spoiler. j/k

Personally i really like how the spoiler looks. The back might be high and the spoiler will make it higher but without it looks to bland for me. Like its waiting for something to be on top of it. But that's just my opinion.

Spoilers on 4-Door Sedans have always bothered me. I don't mind the little nub that they put on the back of the BMW M5, but that is about it. I think sedans can look sporty, but I don't like spoilers on anything besides coupes and even then, I have a 2" maximum height. People with those huge aftermarket tails are living in a movie and need a reality check...

Tint is a must!

I just sent pics out to Stash and TSXMAYBESO of what the spoiler looks like on my TSX.
1. Let me know if they were helpful (b/c I had to take the pics at dusk).
2. PM me with an email address if you want me to send them to you.

Sorry, don't have a pic of the CG with a spoiler, but here is mine with 20% tint all the way around.

Other than keeping out the heat on a hot day and looking cool besides, how good or bad in visibility at night with tinted windows?

Overall visibility in a TSX without tinting is fair at best.

Image of CG w/spoiler

This may not be the most useful graphic in the world, but here's a screen shot of the CG w/a spoiler from the Acura site.

I my vast experience with the TSX (two days now), visibility seems good. With the exception of backing up and trying to look around the headrest...for some reason it's unusually un-natural to see around it. Then it could just be too many Krispy Kremes.

Thanks for posting the pictures of the CG TSX! I have at least a month's wait for mine, and I haven't actually seen a CG one in person.

For that matter, I've only seen two TSX's in my area in the past month, a black one parked on a street downtown and a silver one that swooooshed by on the expressway while I was awaiting a green light.
