Car got Keyed!
if u can catch any of the scratches with your fingernail, those won't come out and the only way to fix will be either touch-up or a repaint of the entire bumper/trunk.
if the scratches do not catch your fingernail, they can be removed with a polish.

Damn HATERS!!!!
You know you can study all the criminology books at college about what causes people in the moment to commit vandalism....
But I still refuse to lower myself to ever vandalize another person's car. Its such a primitive form of behavior, sad to see some people have not fully developed into human beings that have logic and intelligence.
*Getting of my soapbox*

dang... your not going to be able to polish that out... you may have to try to buff it out... my car was keyed november of 07 but it was at a high school parking lot. 2K in damage.
good luck on getting the scratches out

I'd say go to a quality shop and have them repaint it.
if you're smart, your deductable is only $100 or $250 at most.
call the insurance company and get it repaired correctly at a body shop of your
choice that has experience with Acuras and pearl paints.
or just get a carbon fiber trunk.

again, if you can catch your fingernail AT ALL on the scratch, it is too deep. If not, it can be polished/buffed off. If it doesn't catch your nail AND you can't get it off by hand, you need to get it professionally detailed with a porter cable, or ultimate detailing machine.

4 years of college (if you go): WATCH YOUR CAR
Ex-Girlfriends: WATCH YOUR CAR!
Giving you a heads up
Ok the same thing happened to me yesterday. My wife had the car and when she got home I noticed a scratch starting at the drivers side rear door and extending all the way to the mid point on the drivers door about 7 inches down from the window. A total of probably 30" long.
I cannot believe someone would do this. I was so mad. I said to my wife "Does someone hate you because you have just been keyed all the way down the drivers side" I probably shouldn't of said it but I was so angry at the time. She is a Jr. High teacher and I started to think it was one of her students. Who knows. I just hope I can buff it out.
Jim13 I feel your pain.

Wet sanding + cound is one of sure thing.....
but if you see primer, don't bother it....touch up paint, dry, then
wet sand and compound
or lanka.
after few hours apply clearcoat
Wait one day, very mild wet sanding with lightest grit u can find, compond, polish
If you don't see primer,
Try mild abrasive polish such as scratch X,
If it does not work, try compound.
If still does not work, wet sand it with above 1000 grit for non-pros.
Then compound and polish.
Just remember apply reasonable force with cound or polish, but DO NOT put your full power.
Hope this helps....

Beyond that I lack reservation about sharing my opinions.
Dang, that is a pretty wicked scratch. That looks like you are going to have to get something professionally done to it. That really sucks bro. I've never gotten keyed and I pray to God I don't, but it's one of those things that punk ass kids do...even if they don't know you. Whether they are jealous cause they love TSX's just as much as us (
), or just because they think it is fun, but you almost can't avoid it....and when it does happen, it's one of those things where unfortunately the vandalizers are never caught. Sad fact of life.

It's a modest car but some otherwise fun cars you might want some day like a Civic Si and other sporty sub compacts might feel cheap by comparison, and you'll have to lose something to get something unless your somehow able to afford a BMW.

Haha...I remember talking about that quite a while ago in a thread sometime last year....

I don't think people like that hit once and give up. They get some kind of thrill out of causing minor property damage and probably spend all day thinking about what they want to try to do next time.

you gotta paint those ... this would be a great time to make sure you have comprehensive coverage on your car.
