Car fax report -- Dealer

Does every single visit to the dealer show-up on the carfax account? I had a bumper cover damage recently and had to take to the dealer for checking. ?

Thanks.

Nothing like that goes on carfax. The only information that carfax records are registrations, total losses, salvages, flood damage, theft recovery, and that's all I can think of right now.

So no need to worry. Just make sure your mileage continues to increase everytime you smog your car.

Actually it does show up in the history as Vehicle Repair Center as Vehicle serviced from insurance.

I think youll be ok. It shouldn't be a problem. Only the MAJOR accidents if those at all are reported to carfax.

Check with your insurance and see if the bumper can be covered under "comprehensive." My TSX is in the body shop getting the bumper repaired, repainted and fog light replaced under my comprehensive coverage - no deductible. BUT - I had rocks hit my bumper that came out of a moving truck, not a collision - and not my fault.

If you scraped it on a curb or something, that would probably be a collision type coverage, with deductible most likely.
