Can't decide on which tints to get...
I got an appointment for tints tomorrow and I still can't decide how I want my tints. I want to get either 35% all around or 35% in the front and 20% in the back. What do you guys think?

i got 35% front/20% rear.
i have a black/black car, and i wanted the contrast.
35% is pretty light. its not as dark as the numbers seem to be. so to have it 35% all around would make it rather light.

Ive got 35% all around and it depeds on the light and everything as to how dark is looks. I keep my moon roof open all the time let light in so i dont get pulled over.
One question, why does everyone on every forum call it "tints" its tint. You have tint on your windows. your windows are tinted. what is the tints thing all about. sorry just an odd pet peeve of mine

I like it all the way around same darkness as well. If you've had dark tint before then you will want to continue that way. If you've never had window tint before, you might find it kind of hard to drive at night and what not and would be better off going for the lighter I think. It's best to see a car in person with it on there. Or most good tint places will put a strip of 35% and 20% on your window at the same time so you can make up your mind.

briefly: basically it says that you can't have any tint on the front windows and you can have any tint on the rear windows.
in the link below, it says that you can have 70% in the front... law was instated in 1999. http://autowindowtintings.com/main.c...ion=California

finalheaven, yeah i went illegal and have tint on the front two windows also. Never been pulled over. I have a black and it makes darker tint look lighter then it really is. Also, as i mentioned i leave the cover on the moonroof open so there is always light coming in from the top making it more visible.
And when i do see cops I generally roll my windows down But most of the time when i dont, they dont care. My friend was not so lucky. he has 35% all around on a silver car (looks darker) and got pulled for no front plate ( i have mine) and because of that got nailed on his tint too. but it was only like a 50 dollar fine.
Tinting the front in Cali is indeed a small risk ( since everyone and their mother has tinted windows) but Im not only going to tint half my car. When i had my prelude i went 35 in the rear and 50 up front but i hated the offset. I have to have it even all the way around. and i wont not have tint. Helps with heat and keeps people from looking inside.

Tint looks great, what kind of film did you get?
That charcoal of tint matches nicely with the carbon gray goodness.
