Canadian spec 05 TSX?
Hi, I'm new to the board..
Looking at purchasing a TSX in the fall and was wondering what changes are in store for 2005. I've heard rumours that the Nav system will be available in Canada, and also heard that we can expect some changes to the colour palette. Can anybody confirm or deny either of these?
I'm crossing my fingers that we will see Meteor silver, Arctic blue and Carbon grey (at least this if not all). I also wouldn't mind seeing an option for grey leather...
Why do the Americans get such a better selection? :'(
Also, who's the best sales person to deal with in the Vancouver area? Regardless of who I buy from, I'll be getting the car serviced at Langley Acura, anybody have any good or bad experiences with them?

Welcome aboard!
There have been a lot of posts on this topic and no firm answers yet so we'll just have to wait and see but I wouldn't expect any major changes.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!
Dan Martin: My gut is telling me no changes for 05 as well, although I have had a couple of salesman tell me that we can at least expect the Nav...but then again, we all know how credible they can be at times.
Only time will tell I suppose...
At what point of time in the year does Acura typically announce any changes for the upcoming model year?

true ... i believe there is no new changes .....
it's still very easy for Acura Canada to sell the TSX for another yr ...
and then they will put out all the American option an yr b4 the next generation comes out~

I was told that Acura was never able to release the Nav version in Canada in time for 04 because the software didn't have a French version available yet. Thus we won't see it till 05...
I sure hope this is correct, as I have my heart set on Nav. Otherwise, I'll have to wait until 06.... :shit:

Just went to test drive and haggle with Sales person in North Shore Acura on Saturday, and he said the new specs just came in, and that there were no changes to the tsx at all...no addtional color......except there will be a navi option for $4,000....

I dont know if it was just the dealer trashing the navi because he wanted me to get the 04'tsx...but he went on this long rant about how worthless Navi is.....i personally wouldnt pay 4000 for it in my own car, but i had a rental car once when relatives visited, it had navi..and it was amazing....just type in the name of the place you want to go...and listen to the annoying robotic voice..!

i doubt it...
adding 4k to an EL would totally make ppl turn away from it...

Since the EL is heavily based on the Civic, I doubt Acura Canada would have the resources (or business case) to engineer a new Nav dash, given the low volumes it would sell. Plus, the dealers would have to stock a separate model.

1) Where did I say anything about civics?
2) TL? EL + $4000 option = $29,500. Accord LX-V6 = $29,100. TL base = $40,800. I think my comparison was a little more equal. But if anyone has a modded civic that costs the same as a TL then yes I would say that's dumb.
3) gg and QQ? How about you try english next time. What the hell does this mean?

you want a fish for dinner, you spend more money to buy a lobster, you still don't get a fish OMG!
oh, I am sorry, you did not say anything about fish and lobster.
ok, I will use your comparison. You spend more money to buy an accord, u still don't get a navi (hello accord doesn't come with navi), simple as that. So you think people who bought a TSX with navi are all stupid and should get non-navi TL instead? Get real dude, people live on budget and all have their personal perference. So, according to you, those of us who got good wheels, exhaust, intake... whatever are probably dumb b/c we could have got ourselves TL, S2000, or possibly RL.
P.S. gg and QQ come from English. (vnboard is your best friend in this case) Just like "n00b". Get back into the loop and find out yourself

Ok SAZABI I think you and I are completely different people. I'll stay out of commenting on any of your posts from now on because obviously we'll never agree on anything. If you think a $29,500 EL is good value for money then by all means buy one.
Enjoy your stay here at A-TSX!

but I don't think you should say people, who want to buy EL + navi, should spend the money to get an accord. The point of adding that extra 3000 or 4000 is for the navi. Bleh, I give up, guess my english is too bad and you can't understand... oh well....
