Canadian Owners - Best Gas/Fuel Supplier ?
Hey there,
First time poster, just got my Acura TSX last week.
I was wondering gas supplier to do you guys use for your TSX ?
Sunoco? Petro-Canada? Shell? E$$o?
I know for a fact that Esso makes some of the worst gasoline out there (or at least it did), just wondering if anything has changed.
I was using Sunoco Ultra 94 for my Nissan 300ZX, wondering if I should stick with it or just go with regular 91 or 92 octane from someone else.
Your thoughts and suggestions?

I'm the Firestarter
Mine is still new but seeing as Sunoco is the only place I know with 94, I'm sticking with them. A big incentive is if you have a place nearby with a touchless carwash.

I have been using Shell for the last while. I used to use Sunoco but after reading some threads on the ethanol content causing problems I stopped. You can also get 94 octane at Petro-Can in Quebec. Not much help for Jarrek as that would be a hell of a drive from T.O. for gas.

I am using Esso 92 for 10 yr and didn't have ne issue. Sunoco is good but they are not everywhere and I like the Esso point and the speedpass. BTW, heard Shell gas have been caused oxygen sensor went bad on quite a few cars.

Apparently Sunoco 94 and Pioneer 93 (which are the same) are the only gases in Canada that do not contain something called MMT. MMT has been proven to be harmful to engines causing failure sooner. No gas in the US contains MMT and the Candian goverment moved to ban it as well but were slapped with a multi billion doallr lawsuit because of free trade. This was discussed a while ago so I really can't rememeber details.
If I can find the thread I'll post a link. So its only Sunoco 94 or Pioneer 93 for my ride.

I generally use Shell. I think their premium is 91 or 92. Living in the heartland of the Canadian oil industry, there really isn't much choice beyond the big three (Shell, Esso, Petro-Can) and a handful of independents that don't do their own refining. At least the prices are usually the lowest in the country.
