Buyer's Remorse
Although my NBP is less than a month old, I have been having constant second thoughts about my color choice. Although I love the classic, sexy black color of the TSX, my emotions are stirred when I see even just a pic of a PWP. I am trying to focus on the contentment of purchasing such a great, hot car (that doesn't rattle)- but a small part of me wants to call the dealer and see if he can arrange a trade without losing my ass. The sad thing is that I did the same thing with a new car last year and lost 4,000 bucks in the deal! Only that time I traded to get black. Damn, I hate this buyer's remorse. Anyone else have experience with brand new trade-ins?

no you can't, sorry.
sounds like you are a car salesman's wet dream... you buy two cars at a time. don't be a moron and enjoy your beautiful car.
I have been having some buyer's remorse... but more as to the fact that I should have kept my old truck that was paid off. but as you can't unring a bell... you can't unbuy a car. deal with it. cheers.

Man, they are going to bend you over when you come in with that deal. If money aint a thing, go for it but be prepared to take a huge hit. You're just burning money.
Why not wait a few months and bolt on a new supercharger or something else with the money you saved.

Roblexky, what color interior do you have with your NHB TSX? I have also a NHB with the ebony interior and I absolutely love it! I would not have bought a white one, simply because then I wouldn't be able to have the ebony interior... well, at least not in the US!

If this happened last year and it's happening now with NBP, what makes you think it won't happen next year with PWP?
Get over it and enjoy your car. Sometimes colors will grow on you.

Save your money and use it on some mods. No sense in getting jacked by the dealer. I have a PWP and I sometimes wish I had a black TSX since black looks amazing when it's all waxed and shiny.
Of course, black TSX's in Canada come with the parchment interior and PWP comes with black (opposite of the US), so my decision to go with PWP was made that much easier.

what is pwp?
black is nice when clean, but is a bitch to keep clean, prone to scratches cause people think its too flashy color, and shows dirt too easily.
thats why i got carbon grey, its not as dark as black, but still is the middle color between silver and black to me in the TSX.

Don't fret man, I think almost everybody goes thru a stage like this. No matter which color you picked, once you picked it, you'll always wonder what it would have been like if you had chosen another color or even a whole different car. I personaly think you made an excellent choice!

Thanks for all of your input. I really dont have a lot of extra money lying around, but the way I think about it is since I am spending nearly 30,000 bucks for the car and spend a lot of time driving everyday- I guess I want to be as content as possible. You guys are right- I know I need to sit tight and allow the black to grow on me a little more. BTW Ostrich, my interior is parchment, which was a huge factor in narrowing down my final selection to white, red or black. I have read that most of you detest the parchment interior, but that is the only thing that I was sure of when selecting the car- go figure.

I also think that the NHB will grow on you....just wait come summer and you have it waxed. I have a black 1992 accord, and even after 12 years people say how beautiful it looks when waxed.
Its hard to keep clean, but if you do it you'll turn lots of heads.

roblexky, I'm driving around in your dream car. I gotta say that I love the PWP w/ parchment interior. But, don't fret, if you were to take a poll you'd probably find that people think the ebony color is the one people like most. You want PWP, others want ebony, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Enjoy the fine car you have, it'll grow on you I'm sure.

Add navigation, and then it would be my dream car!
The dealership still hasn't gotten back with me on the cost difference of the trade, so maybe I can focus on modifications/upgrades that might pacify me until this wave of mild remorse passes. I think that spoilers look pretty spiffy on NBP- I should go study some more pics...

well, hope you enjoy your car. my brother has an '00 black tl with parchment/tan interior. though it is a pain in the ass to keep clean, it is beautiful. i have a CG with ebony interior. there are many owners with that combo and i haven't met one with any complaints. nevertheless, the deal is done and i'm sure you'll love your car just as much as my brother does his, eventually anyhow.
by the way, white cars are an even bigger pain in the ass to maintain cosmetically. trust me, my dad has a white CRV and he lives near the beach where the air is cleaner. so don't feel bad about your choice, it's probably for the better.

As far as the exterior, I think the black is the most difficult to keep clean. Any kind of dust or dirt will show up immediately. I owned a white car before and it certainly showed dirt more so than a silver or carbon grey might but my next door neighbor has a black maxima and he constantly has to keep washing it to keep it looking shiny and clean. Also keep in mind that the PWP is not pure white, its a pearl white which is just a shade creamy in color. It makes a big difference when you get a slight coating of dust on it.
And while I'm on the topic of dust .. to the gardeners of both of my neighbors who use leafblowers and provide all the neighborhood vehicles with a weekly coating of dust and dirt. There, I feel better now.
