Buy OEM All Weather Mats or Extra set of Floor Mats?

Buy OEM All Weather Mats or Extra set of Floor Mats?
What do you suggest? Buying the OEM ALL Weather Mats or buying an extra set of the regular TSX Mats? Why?
Also how well do those all season mats stand up? I had a set of those weather-tech mats and I wore a hole in them where my foot was when I drove.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Save Yourself Some Money and Buy Generic All-Weathers
I bought some Car and Driver all-weathers from Target for $20 for a set of 4. Just trim to fit, and you are done. Of course they don't say "TSX" on them, but they function the exact same way.

Bought Kravco all weathers (set of two only on sale 14.99) at Target last week. Had debated between black and beige in parchment interior. Picked black and they complement black dash and door tops nicely. They are thick and heavy, with deep grooves and designed to be trimmed. Driver's side had to be trimmed down big-time, but passengers fit beautifully as is. Just in time, we're getting eight inches here as I write this.

Buying the all weather OEM mats are crazy. Too much money for what!! Rubber or plastic compounds. Do what I did. If there is a Target in your area, go there and buy the Car & Driver all weather mats. Much cheaper and looks way better than the OEM's. You'll proly pay at most $30 for the entire set.

Its not crazy, its a preference. Some people buy designer imposter perfumes, but that doesn't mean its crazy to buy the real stuff.
I bought the all weather mats, and every time i get in my car I am glad I did because i see all the dirt on them that would have gotten into the carpeted floor mats.

In the end, there is nothring wring with buying the OEM mats. But, there are alternatives that cheaper and provide the same level of protection.

But for me and I would say for a majority of people, paying $132 for floor mats just to have the "TSX" logo on them is not practical. The $100 that I would save could be better spent elsewhere. In my case, I am very happy with the C&D mats just as another person on this thread had done. Also, I got good compliments on them during the SoCal meet this past Sunday with people saying they look better than the OEM mats.

In the end, there is nothring wrong with buying the OEM mats. But, there are definite alternative all weather mats out there that provide the same level of protection, looks just as good, and definitely much cheaper.

My Acura OEM Winter mats were thrown in and I'd hope most people's were as well.

Not to sound weird or anything but how in the world can they possibly look better than OEM mats?? To me, the OEM mats just make sense. Sure, they're pricy but I'm gonna have my car at least 3-4 years and yeah, I guess when you come down to it, the TSX logo was a big plus. These things are cut so perfect, I don't even see my real mats.
I'd reccomend them ...
You have any pics of your mats???

If you like style and love having a pimp ride.... There is no way you put all weather mats in your car. The OEM TSX embroidered (sp) mats at pimp...esp. in black. I even get chicks complimenting me on them. The all weather mats have zero pimp factor... they belong in a pickup

My man ... We who use ALL SEASON don't wanna use them, per se. We simply feel we should during snow storms, rainstorms, mud slides etc ...
In other words ... It's a means of protecting the stock mats during inclement weather.
A word to the wise: Pimpin' should take a back seat once in a while to preserving the quality of your car. Pride is an awful thing ...

Wow, do you guys put the all weathers on top of the regular floormats? I bought the $20 Target ones, and the regulars are hanging out in the garage until Spring. Sure, I think having "TSX" on the all weathers is cool, but not $100+ cool. I mean, these things are bought for the purpose of getting beat up...If I had $130 rubber floormatts, I'd feel like I'd need to get the $20 ones to protect them! IMO, leave the OEMs for people with more money than sense, and when spring comes, through the carpeted ones back in to continue "pimpin'"

some people got them thrown in when they bought the car and i paid $80 for them. they're well worth it, even without the writing on it. generic looks like ass and feels cheaper compared to the oem. it also never fits just right. my brother had some of the better-quality generics for his tl and he hated the feel and design. he ended up replacing them with oems.
the oem looks and feels like it belongs in the car, especially a $25k+ car. also, if you ever held the oem mat in your hand, you'd know you were at least paying for quality and not just cosmetic appeal.

oem all weather all the way. i will NEVER own a car without them again. All you have to do is wipe them with a wet cloth and they look like brand new. I also opt for oem bc they are a perfect fit, countour wise, unlike generic ones. i have mine overtop the factory mats in the back, but in the front i have just the all weather ones. that, along with the trunk tray are the best things i think ive spent money on in awhile.

OEM maybe fits great and all that, but after 5 minutes with an Xacto knife, so do my $20 ones. I dunno, just seems to me that $130 for something designed to get muddy/shitted up is silly, but I guess for people who use them year-round, it makes sense. I only use mine for the winter, maybe that's the difference. I think all the rubber ones are ugly (and mine stink like rubber), and can't wait for my high-quality OEM carpet ones back in. To each his own, I guess.
PS...obviously, getting $130 matts for free is not silly, I was referring to PAYING $130 for them.
