Just read a service package pdf and it has the replacement interval at 30k miles.

I replaced mine due to a brake upgrade and it definitely needed it. It was baked and very dirty.

Every two years is a better recommendation than mileage. Brake fluid is going to absorb a certain percentage of water every year, no matter how much you drive.

I have just a little over 50,000 Miles and I have never changed my brake fluid, nor has the dealership told me to change it.

They figure they'll be rebuilding your brakes. Check your owner's manual from now on and don't rely on the dealer to tell you what you need.

FWIW, Ford and other domestics don't have any brake fluid change interval, which is to be expected b/c the car should be well out of warranty before the brake system starts to fail - $$$.
