Question blue light?

the blue light that shines on the shifter. does it visually enhance the shifter or is it just for look. personally, its a nice touch. Passengers will be oOoHhHWWW AAaWWWw over it.

it doesn't actually enhance the shifter... just think of it as an ambiance light. just a nice finishing touch to make it look more luxury. (my dad's q45 had it).

That sounds about right: blue light --> shorter wavelength than other visible light --> shorter wavelength means higher energy --> higher kinetic energy --> faster. End of science lesson. &nbsp

It enhances the shifter no doubt. There's some electromagnetic resonance in the blue glow that not only enhances the smoothness of the shifting, but also helps avert alien abductions and attacks by vampires. It's much more effective than garlic and a cross.

All kidding aside ... this light allows you to look at things while driving at night without turning on the "map light" which will likely distract you while driving. For example, my wife was able to read a CD case label using this light when I first got the car and we were driving at night.

But to answer your question ... it has nothing to do with the shifter
