What's the purpose of the blue "courtesy light" on the ceiling between the two front spotlights? I understand why they have a blue light around the ignition...but what's up with the ceiling?

it's for "courtesy".

it actually changes the ambience the car conveys, i mean, without the blue light, it wouldn't be "tsx", heh.

i don't know, i personally love the bluie courtesy lights, i just want them to be brighter..

It shines down and lights up the shifter area. Also, I think there is another one just below the stereo/nav that lights up the front of the cd/"Not an Ashtray" holder bin covers (whatever you call them).

I think they add a nice touch. The dash and all the interior lighting touches/color choices look much better and I think easier on the eyes then some cars with red dashes/intstrumentation (ie - Mazdas, and Beemers).

Actually, Doge Caravan Sports has this light in the same place. But it's green instead. Much better with blue.
