Black or Quartz Leather

The dealer just called. They just got my 2005 TSX w/nav. But they got two of them in. Both are carbon gray. The choice, ALL back leather or the quartz leather.

I have two hours to make up my mind. I like the all black, my wife likes the two tone look.

I heard the leather winkles alot in these cars, does color matter?

HAHA,....screw parchment,..lol.........we dont have the grey in Canada,......but black looks sweet. We looked at CG with ebony int,..but no one had any with a MT,.....we got NBP w ebony (would have anyway),.......I think ebony looks best, but never seen grey int in person.

Talking BLACK or QUARTZ . . .

I say go with the Black . . . . The "aluminum" trim gets lost in the quartz (light gray) interior . . . .But then I'm partial to the ebony (with milano red) . . . .

If you like cleaning your seats often then get Quartz, if you're as lazy as me, get Ebony.

Good Advice

Someone said, black is hardiest to keep clean. Any comments on experienced users out there.

although very true about the "aluminum" trim (I like the quotes on that).

i can't vouch but I can defend parchment, my dad had it and the only problem was when I'd sit in the back seat and my black belt wore alittle black line onto the leather, but it was easily removed

I think it's a pita.

Every blonde/gray/non-black hair is visible.
Skin oils will turn the black a lighter shade, causing headaches.
Black all season mats are constantly covered in a light gray dust (for me at least) requiring cleaning (quick wipe down is all).
Every light scuff is clearly visible.
Etc?

I think the black looks better, but I kind of wish I would've gotten quartz.

Not sure who told you that, but you can hardly tell if black leather is dirty unless you start cleaning it with a white towel, then you'll see the dirt. Also, you can really tell the dirt on the quartz with the driver seat vs. other seats over time if you don't clean it that often.........at least that's what I've noticed from my friend's TL.

Done Deal

I went with the Black Leather. The quartz is just a little to light for me but it does have a nice two tone effect.

Now I must tint my windows on Thursday Let the mods begin....once I get more money.

Now I must wait

Thanks.

I'm pretty happy with my choice. You really can't go wrong. I can't get the car until tomorrow (it just got off the truck about 2 PM today). The wait is killing me.

If you really love your TSX, you'll clean it at least every two weeks (inside & out). Just because you don't see the dirt doesn't mean it's not there and do you really want someone riding with you to think you're a slob ? As for color, I think the quartz is nice.

Good Luck.

Black PAINT is the hardest to keep clean; black LEATHER is the easiest.

Get the black leather. You'll be glad.

EDIT: I see that you did, and I just didn't read down far enough. Good choice.
