I have always carried a fire extinguisher in my cars, and I am trying to figure out the best location for one in my new 08.

Any ideas? Bolted somewhere in the trunk? It needs to be secure, but also easy to get to in an emergency.

mount it on the floor near your door

If it's small and light enough, maybe on the bottom of the trunk lid? That way even if the trunk was full of crap, it'd still be accessible in a hurry.

in my crx i had it mounted on the passenger side a-pillar, but for the tsx, somewhere in the trunk to keep the interior clean.

I don’t think the trunk is a good place in an "emergency" situation.
I'm thinking on the passenger floor bolted up next to the center counsel.

this is not my car but mines is mounted in the same manner
perfect spot for the extinguisher in case of an emergency

Does it get in the way of the passenger's legs? The foot wells are wrapped pretty snugly around you (personally I like it that way, fits me like a glove).
