Best Insurance Price/Company
So I have been looking around to insecure my 04 TSX and I decided to see if you guys had any input. I actually got a really good quote from geico but I don't know if they are any good as an insurance company.
Anyone out there have a recommended insurance company or one I should stay away from?
Thanks in advance...

Best Insurance Price/Company
i would stay away from geico a lady barely hit my rear bumper all it did was spider web the paint in a small area no damge to the bumper support or foam the geico adjuster told me he will give a new bumper i told him it just needs to be repainted he said it doesnt matter because he will just raise the ladies car insurance rate so for something that could have been fixed for 250-300 dollars i was given a check for 1378.xx and the check was issued to me not a repair shop maybe it just depends on the adjusters that the ins. co. has working for them thanks geico

Best Insurance Price/Company
most major ins. co. have websites that will give you a quick online quote you should check them all at least that way you can find the cheapest ins. co. the cheapest may not be the best but on the other hand the most expensive also may not be the best you should see what type of services the different companies offer than you can compare each co. and decide what co. is the best for you

USAA is the best by far, but you have to either be in the military or have a parent/grandparent that was (and a USAA member). Awesome customer service, great rates, and a rebate at the end of the year!

the wife and i together have geico. we pay i think somewhere between $1100-1200 a year for full coverage on both of us.
but we're also both over 25, we've never been in accidents or received tickets, and i've been driving since i was 16.
i know people paying that much for single coverage.

If you can find a reputable company and stay with them for a while it pays off in the long run.

I was also using USAA, but I dont have the same story.
I had a 96 RL, and was paying $500 per year with 50/100/50 coverage and no comp or coll. I transfered that coverage to my 06 TSX and the price stayed the same, but of course, I wanted to add comp and coll. With both deuctables at $2000, the yearly premium came to about $2000. That was rediculus.
So I went to Allstate. I got the same 50/100/50 coverage, and $2000 and $750 deductables on coll and comp respectfully.
I also get these incentives:
Multiple accident forgiveness (my premum never goes up)
Free replacement of car if totaled for 2 yrs
$100 off deductable up to $500 each yr no accidents
5% off premuim each 6 months no accidents
Go with Allstate!

It all depends on your age and situation. I work for Allstate and their quote was the second highest even with a discount, state farm being the 1st. I winded up with Progressive. Allstate isnt looking for young drivers (at least in my area) so they raise those rates and lower older people. im 22 with no tickets since 16. I'd look at each one for a quote, doesnt hurt to ask.

This might help

according to JD POwers, Amica Mutual is the best.
except I've never heard of them. they also rated USAA in par with Amica, but you have to be in military.

As was said earlier, insurance premiums really depend on your personal situation (age, driving record, marital status, where you live, how much you drive, what you drive, etc.)

Looking at the '15 TLX
In CA I'm paying about $950/year with Wawanesa. They only insure in CA and WA tho. I've had them for almost 3 years now (since I got the TSX) and I've had no issues with them. They don't advertise much but a Google search will turn up their webpage where you can get a quote.

I use Mercury now. For 2 cars w/ full coverage and a $250 deductable I pay $1200 per year. I had Progressive before and while they were great to deal with, they tried to charge me over $200 /mo. for my 2006 TSX and my Jeep Wrangler.

USAA has good rates even for non-military... at least if you're "in bed" with them. We have our mortgage through them, which then requires home owners, which makes it easy for auto, which in turn helps with the umbrella policy. Net net you get a discount because you're forking over bazillions monthly.
(ok, slight exaggeration)

We used Amica for many years and were very pleased with their prices and service. Very responsive, and did not raise rates when claims were made. We are now using USAA and have been pleased with their service so far (no claims made yet). They provided a good loan rate and immediate response when I bought the TSX.

Well, since I work for Progressive, I would have to say we are the best company
But seriously, insurance companies can vary greatly by person and area, so you and your twin brother living across the street from each other can still get different prices from the same insurance company. I reccomend doing some research with consumer reports and www.ambest.com which evaluates the financial strengths of the company. You cant always go by the reported rankings, because those are based on size and number of policy holders, example:
1.State Farm
2.Allstate
3.Progressive
in that order, but USAA has the highest level of customer satisfaction overall at an amazing 82%....so its not always about the size and financial strength, but those help.
Claims is a concern you never hope to have, but this can make or break an experience, and all are case by case studies. Sometimes you get what you pay for, some cut rate prices get you no claim support worth mentioning...and sometimes you can get a great price with great support.
I would shop around online, if the company cant give you an accurate price online, they may want to look at joining the rest of us in the 21st century.
BTW, when I totalled my 330ci, my company not only gave me total replacement cost, they helped me shop for another, secured a loan rate and price before I ever went to the dealership, thats how I ended up with my TSX and some money in the bank.

listing how much you pay but not providing the exact amount of coverage is pretty pointless. stating you have "full coverage" is also pretty pointless. without stating your deductibles, how much you have covered in each area (collision coverage, liability coverage, and etc), one person's "full coverage" is another man's "minimum coverage."
What does “full coverage” mean?
The term full coverage generally means that the insurance policy has both liability coverage and coverage for damage to your vehicle. The term full coverage does not mean that everything is covered no matter what happens. - Farmers' Insurance
Full coverage is a term used by the insurance companies to sell you insurance. Most people who use the term full coverage don't even know how much coverage they have, they just know they have enough to drive legally.

I believe most people are overinsured on their vehicles. I used to keep comp on my bikes until I figured out the price was so high that the cost on four bikes was the price of a new 600 every four years. Having paid cash for them, for me it was a waste once I no longer had to worry about coverage for a lienholder.
Reducing coverages may not work for everyone, but the insurance company makes the most money by selling you more coverage. It's always a gamble but I agree most people don't know what their coverages are.

No insurance company actually uses the term "full coverage" Its a term finance companies use, it means what the state requires along with physical damage, which is usually called comp and coll, or other than coll. There is no reason for anyone driving a 30K car to carry less than 100/300/100 coverage IMO.

If you want lower rates then the biggest difference in prices is the deductible. if you raise your limits then you will see a slight increase in price. A change in deductible will change it by alot. It depends on your needs.

Allstate - $1500 for 3 cars with "Accident forgiveness" policy. Been with them since I bought my first car. I remember paying 300/month when I was 18, but slowly, my payment went down due to age, marital status, kids, etc....
Just recently, I received quotes from Geico (1,300), Progressive (1,900), State Farm (2,000), as you can see, Geico was the lowest, but decided to stick with Allstate.

in the 24th and a half...
Make sure to check AIG. They've been moving into auto hard the last year or two and are offering very nice rates in Texas for now. I got a ding and non-renewed by Amica (nothing bad to say about them...I just didn't stay clean enought for them. When I had the trouble, they were awesome for fixing it!) and when I got on with AIG through and Independent Agent my rate actually went down! And I had shopped the rates the same way the year before with a better record!
