does your dealership offer free car washes? Here in Austin where i bought my TSX i get free car washes so all i have to do is bring it by. So lovely when all you need is a qucik wahs, other wise i usually spend about 3 hours detailing my car by hand.

What kind of wax are you using? A good synthetic will last a good 6 months, or 3 months with a bad car wash.

I dont know of any carnauba WAX that will last 6 months. Polish on the other hand will. I use Zaino every 6 months for polish and S100 every other month for waxing.

hey joe,

im not sure, but i dont think any other polish adheres to zaino. Zaino will only adhere to itself, so i dont think any other wax adheres to zaino. im not sure, but just my

another disadvantage of applying s100 over zaino is that you CANNOT apply another layer of z2 because it wont adhere to the s100. you'll have to strip any previous wax, and start over. the best way to keep the longevity of zaino is to follow every wash with a quick detailer, either z6/z8, 1z lackfinish, or any other quick detailer.

Car washes recycle water. How do you feel about sand blasting your paint?

Who said I used any other polish on top of Zaino??

Wax dosent "adhere" to anything, its just a surface protectant. Zaino is a polishing polymer that bonds to the paint surface. Thus the reason for the high durability.

I only add the S100 every other month to add the depth and wet look that Zaino lacks. Otherwise, if you want just a mirror shine, Zaino by itself works just fine.

Right...But if you know what your doing, you would know not to apply polish again over any wax.

Zaino lasts about 6 months or so. There is no reason not to put wax on top of it if you want to. But like you said, you have to wash and clay before you put a fresh layer of Zaino on again...

I never saw the ads, but it does work. The interesting part is the ionized water spray, it really does dry off without leaving dropplet marks.

It's basically like an enhanced hand wash. I'm guessing waxing is recommended after. I also saw this spray-on wax at Canadian Tire, it attaches on your water hose, I'm wondering if that's any good too.
