There is no quattro available right now in the A3. FYI.

But even my 03 A4 1.8t when I had it with AWD it pushed like crazy as well. They are just heavy cars.

Yes, I know there is no quattro available. I covered that in my review.

Frankly, I was a little suprised by the amount of push that the A3 displayed. For a car of approximately the power and weight of a TSX, it sure didn't handle nearly as well. Way too much understeer dialied in, though I suppose that's good for the average driver. Also, the quattro system won't help since many enthusiasts have noted before that the quattro drivetrain tends to create more understeer rather than cure it.

as far as handling, i can't agree with you on that...i think considering the TSX's competition (3 series, c class, is300, g35) the tsx has the worst handling...i know it IS a fwd, but compared to any other FWD i've driven it is pretty horrrible, it just drives like it a HUGE car...not nimble at all, and i don't drive fast or anything...the a3, however, reminded me of my integra gsr, verrry sporty and fun to drive..sport suspension or not. i do think i'm going to wait for the quattro to come out though...it is due in december of this year or early 2006.

I have driven all the cars you've listed and the TSX out handles all of them except for maybe the 3 series with the sport package. The G35 is huge by comparison.

I think you need to have your driving recalibrated...

The TSX has the most neutral handling of any FWD sedan currently on the market. And considering the amount of seat time I have behind various high performance cars, I can guarantee that the A3 I drove exhibited immense understeer upon corner entry (you could easily hear the tires begging for life as well) and I had to back out on the throttle significantly to get the car back on line. This was with the ESP off, too. I took the exact same corner in my TSX only minutes after going through it in the A3 and even with VSA on, I was able to execute the same corner with no protest, no understeer, and carrying a little more speed.

Hmmm

I think a lot of things can be said about the TSX, but this is the first time I've heard this one

Thats a pretty bold statement, can you back it up with anything other than your opinion?

I've driven all but the IS300 and I prefer the TSX to all of them in the handling dept.

Because you have nothing else better to do with your time than troll car forums and bash a car you don't like. Every car forum has trolls and they all have one thing in common.

They all end up

BTW - You gave yourself away with this statement.

but compared to any other FWD i've driven it is pretty horrrible, it just drives like it a HUGE car...not nimble at all,

Yes, TSX drive like a huge car when it compare to Civic, Integar..etc. Because it is a big car for big kids with family. But is the handling horrible???? I doubt it! I dun think the handling of my TSX is any worst than my BMW 328i with sport suspension. And there are few members on this board also own a BMW or used to own BMW and none of them complaint the handling of their TSX. So do you think the handling of the BMW 3-series sucks?
