Anything wrong with leaving the HIDs on everytime i drive?
I am so used to my old car which had automatic sensors for when it was dark and the headlights turned on automatically. I dont think the Acura TSX 06 has this feature or I just cant seem to find it. So is there anything wrong with leaving them on all the time? Xenon lights shouldnt burn out right?
Thanks in advance.

Xenon lights have a lifespan based on the number of on/off cycles as opposed to the number of hours of burn. If you leave your lights on all the time, you'll probably cycle the lights on and off about twice as often as normal. Of course, given that the bulbs seem to have quite a long lifespan, I wouldn't worry about it too much. The biggest problem, if nothing else, is that your interior lights will either be too dim during the daytime or too bright at night unless you adjust that on a regular basis.

Meh... just turn them off. Stop being lazy. lol
The car will start dinging at you if you dont shut them off anyways after turning the key to off. So... just turn them off before getting out.

I only leave my permanently on at night if Im driving around and making stops. Its especially helpful if your in a really large parking lot like at a mall or stadium. Just unlock and your lights turn on. Very easy to spot.

I turn them on when I get in the car and off when I get out. It's an automatism. Lights are on 95%+ of the time
And at 231,000km, all original bulbs (headlight) are still working well.

It's more save to have your lights burning even at daytime, you're much more visible. (very common here in europe)
But you lights will go dead earlier... ofcourse

Can someone verify this please? At night, with the lights on normally, flashing them (to allow someone to cut, for example) fires just the high-beams. During the day, with the lights off, flashing turns both the HIDs and high beams too.
If this is true, then flashing during the day results in more HID on/off cycles.

Heard there was a way to wire the OEM Fogs on USDMs to come on with the ignition. That sounds like a great DRL solution! Anyone do that with OEMs since they only can be switched on when the headlights are on? easy DYI or need a shop?

There is a perfect modul for this. It switches the front lights on (for 80, 60 or 40%) after you start the engine... and leaves them on for a minute after you shut the engine down.
Here's a link... only it is german.. maybe you can understand some or use a translator...worldlingo.com has a free translator for whole website's and so on.

I'm planning to order 1... but first I have to know how to attach it. I have the electric circuit map of the tsx but I don't really understand...because the lightswitch uses some type of x-bus(?) system or something like that... I have no idea what consequenses it has when cutting wires and so on. Anyone with experience with x-bus???? (or a name very much like this x-bus, I'm not totally sure about the name)
