Anyone used Leasetrader or Swapalease?
From what I've always heard, AHFC doesnt allow 3rd party lease transfers, and only the original lessee (me) or a dealer can buy the car. (it does say this on AHFC's website.)
Is this really true, or have people found ways to do it anyway?
See, I became curious when I was looking at the TSX's listed on Leasetrader.com, and saw that several of the cars listed were leased through AHFC. Are these people just unaware that they really aren't allowed to do that, or did they find a loophole of some sort to transfer their Honda lease?
Seems to me this is a glaringly important detail in regard to leasing cars in general that often gets overlooked...can you tranfer the lease or not? I'll admit I would have thought twice about leasing a Honda if I knew up front they did not in fact allow this.
Anyway, discuss.
