Anyone notice the compartment under the CD player gets really hot.......
when the CD players has been on for a while?
This has got to the be the stupidest desighn flaw of them all. You cant store stuff in there while the CD has been running for a while cause it gets pretty hot in there.

does the overall compartment get hot? or are you talking about the top of the compartment? like RIGHT under the cd player..because im not experiencing the same problem? maybe its just another difference between the US and Canadian models..hehe jk

Yes, but this is from engine heat not the CD player. If you take your CDs out of the changer after driving for a while, you'll notice that they're hot, too (even if you haven't been playing them).

I've noticed the same thing. I keep a metal box of altoids in there and after a few hours it's always very warm. I originally thought it was that green light down there but it isn't, it's the CD player (I tested it with FM radio and it didn't heat up).
