he's OUT OF CONTROL!!!!! :D Congrats, enjoy!!!!! I think it should have TSX engraved in as many places as possible. |
I heard it's supposed to have Acura embossed on the underside.
|
I noticed it the other day when i was looking at the cars on the lot. I guess it's so acura knows what kind of spoiler you installed on the car?

All Honda spoilers are like this. It's so you can tell Genuine Honda OEM acc. from cheap aftermarket knock-offs.

All Preludes and Accords and other Honda since 97 have had names hidden under the spoiler.
Perhaps many dealers are installing non-OEM spoilers. I know for a fact many dealers do this to save cost. For Example: Chesrown in Medina Ohio will install non-OEM unless you specifically request a genuine Honda OEM spoiler. |
A buddy of mine has an RSX-S and his has "RSX" on the bottom of the spoiler...I think it's kinda cool :D
|
Yeah, it's like a watermark for OEM authenticity... OEM spoiler was made in Japan, a lot of knockoffs seem to be made in Korea, if you care about that kind of thing.

Yeah, that's one of the things I looked for when I saw the TSX in the showroom. I heard about all these little "details" things, and then saw them for myself.
As for the logo being on all Acura/Honda products, it's not on the Civic and/or 1.7EL spoilers. I guess only the cool cars get it (I betcha the Accord doesn't have it either). And, you notice that the logo is embossed backwards, so the reflection in your shiny ass trunk lid reads the proper way! It's really quite nice. |

(2002 EX V6 Sedan) And yes they are embossed backwards to reflect too. |
The embossed (de-bossed, actually) logo must make it a b!tch to wax.

but who waxes the underside of the spoiler???
