Anyone else ever had this happen?

A few months ago, I was messing around with the stylus to my Pocket PC while I was sitting in my driveway. I moved my arm, and it slipped out of my hand and fell down in the little gap between the parking brake and the drink holders. Odd, but I didn't worry about it since I had a spare.

Fast forward to tonight. Sitting in line at McDonald's, and I pull out my debit card. Take a wild guess... any ideas? Yep, the damn card slipped down into that stupid gap. And then, in the only way I could figure to get it out sitting in the parking lot since I couldn't pay without it, I was trying to pry off the center console, and as luck would have it, *SNAP*, and now I have a nice little crack in my center console. I will post pics later today....

Thankfully it's somewhat concealed by the parking brake when it's down, but it just makes it more apparent that I need a dash kit now...

Anyone else had issues with this stupid gap??

Maybe you should lean more to the left when you're doing things in the car.
Either that or become left handed!

Phone? Hole?
What size of phone do you have, that can fall down the gap where the centre console and handbrake meet?

Sorry man, that is extremely unlucky!

Its not too bad though, that part is about $90 and can be ordered over the internet. Still, sucks.

Yeah, I'm thinking dash kit since I want one to increase the interior look, but my problem is I cant decide which color will best match the already metal-looking plastic pieces on our dash already.

Any ideas or anyone have experience?

I'm thinking either Real Brushed Aluminum, Aluminum, Brushed Aluminum, or Real Chrome under the Modern Colors Section, but can't figure out which one matches...

Acura makes a kit that will match up perfectly with the stock silver pieces.

Yeah, but the one I'm looking at on this site offers more pieces of trim enhancement than the Acura Metal Trim Kit does. It costs less ($144) and I've read posts on here from people who had/saw the metal trim kit from Acura and talked about its problems(poor fitting, looked bad, left scuffs when trying to open panels, etc.)

Real Brushed Aluminium would be my suggestion.
But before you do buy, check out this first - http://www.mimousa.com/home.asp?dir=products&prod=637 and http://www.mimousa.com/info/alumdash.htm
