Anybody trading in your TSX to 04TL?

Hi, my dealer told me that there are at least 3 TSX traded in for the 04TL. Anybody is considering doing that?

Hi domn, I am tempted to trade in my RSX -S. I got it last year October. I probably will keep my TSX.

At least you would'nt take as much of a hit trading in the older RSX. But two completely different cars. From a driver's standpoint it would make more sense trading in the TSX I think.

Any idea what kind of money those 3 people got for the TSX?

Yes, I agree with you. It probably would make better sense to trade in the TSX from a driver's standpoint.

As for what the other 3 guys got back. I have no idea.

I am asking them to give me a quote on both my RSX-S and TSX. If the price is too low, I will wait for another year or two. By then, I probably won't find the TL interesting any more as there will likely be some newer models. I will let you know when I hear back how much my TSX can be traded in for.

04 TL is nice, but I'll keep my TSX for now. Maybe in a year or two when A-spec is out, and the price is right.

No intention on trading the TSX for a TL. Ask me again in ten years or so. Even if I were looking to trade up from the TSX, it wouldn't be for a TL. I know I must be some kind of heretic in this crowd, but the TL (old or new) does nothing for me. BMW 5 series would be a nice upgrade, though.

I heard A Spec a number of times. Is it for sure that there will be an A Spec? What is the difference between an A Spec and a regular?

If I totally loved the TL over the TSX, I would've considered it, although I would've needed years of therapy to get over the loss.

Kinda looks like the 2003 Accord Coupe to me, except for those ugly nostrils.

Seriously, I think it's not a bad looking car at all, not compared to the job Chris Bangle did styling the 7-Series. It's no 911, though. I've heard sticker price is about $74k plus the "usual" options if anyone's comparison shopping it to the Honda Accord.

They have to remove the Vodka out of the vending machine at BMW design headquaters.

They might have been sober the day the designed the new 5 Series front end though.

As opposed to the warm milk they have over at the Acura design studios? Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Am I the only one here who thinks it'd be financially insane to do this? I can easily afford the TSX or the TL (without a 5-year loan), but to trade in a car no more than six months after taking it home to buy another new car -- any new car! -- seems kinda nuts.

Wow, it looks almost the same as the accord coupe. I wouldn't say it is an ugly car, except the really ugly nostrils. But those ugly nostrils are good enough to keep me away from this car.

I have always liked the Accord coupe. I almost bought my wife one. ( she ended up bought the RSX Type-S). I think the Accord coupe is even better looking that my previous CL Type-S

I found it insane too, but there are already 3 guys doing it at my dealership!

I traded my 3 months old Mazda6 (got it in Jan.) for TSX in April. I lost about $1500 in the car value (it had 3,130 miles). I wouldnt call that financially insane, but it wasnt a smart move either. So, instead of buying my Mazda6 a new set of wheels, I bought an Acura emblem for it .

By the way, I did talk to my sale guy yesterday about trading in my TSX for 04 TL, he said I could do it but not with him. He told me to save my money and go home. What a nice guy!!!!
