so does that mean TSX's engine breaks easier than the S2000 if rev'd too high? i'm a noob on this, but why would they make the strokes longer? what are the benefits and downsides to that?

The downside is that the piston has to travel faster for each revolution of the engine so without using exotic it can't be revved as high as a shorter stroke engine.
