Are they coming with car-seats? If so, get seat protectors like the Prince Lionheart ones before installing the car seats: http://www.toysrus.com/search/index....ince+Lionheart

Its not the most sofisticated solution, but I slip a piece of cardboard, cut with scissors to fit, under my infant's car-seat. In your case it would be cheap and temporary. I've read that the plastic base from car-seats can leave a visible depression in the leather.

Go to Petsmart and buy a seat cover for dogs. They are water proof and fit pretty well. I believe they are like $40 or something like that. If you live in IL i can get you 15% off.

Rent a minivan so you can all travel together and won't have to worry about your baby being abused.

You won't need a seat cover for the baby seats if its only being installed for a short period of time. My wifes' car gets primary baby duties but in the rare occasion we take my car (airport, camping, etc...), I install it there without any problems. I recommend getting a "pool noodle" and cutting it into 16" pieces to use to angle the seat from being so upright, if they are using a rear-facing baby seat (infant to one year).

You might want to buy some Meguiar's gold class leather wipes and wipe the seats down to make them supple and help them with their 'bounce back' from the seat... but in all honesty my seats look perfect and the car seat was installed there for about a week at most... no problem.

I have my daughters car seat in the back of my TSX and I have a mat that I bought at BabiesRus that goes under the car seat to catch any spills and crumbs. I also found that her feet can touch the back of the passenger seat so I found these neat covers (black or tan) at Walmart that are made just for the back of your seats. They were only $7.00 for the pair and I found them in the automotive section. They are really easy to install and remove and may be good to have when you have company!
