Answer to the Welding question.

A couple weeks ago I said a body shop guy was gonna cut the front end of my car off and put a new one on. Well i was a little wrong he is taking peices of the undamaged one and replacing them with the old one. Anyway I said he was gonn cut them off and weld the new ones on and it would be stronger. You guys didn't believe me, but today I saw how it could happen. ALL honda cars a "spot-welded", that means welded with a little dot of metal and not a FULL weld. Anyway he is gonna fully weld the parts back together and not with a little spot. He litterally took a hammer, flat-head screw driver and a small tap and took apart half of the front end with little to no effort, then he took a peice of scrap metal fully welded it to another, let it set up and then tried to break it with the same tecnique and didn't come close. anyway thought you'd like to know.
