Am I missing something?

Is there a phone book option in the '08 TSX's with Navi? I'm eventually going to load all my contacts from my phone and I was wondering if there's a less tedious method of doing so instead of loading each contact individually through the Bluetooth. Do the names and numbers appear on the screen? I noticed an Address Book where you can store numbers and call them through the Navi but is that it?

no auto load address book unfortunately. Everything has to be entered one by one.

There is no connection between the Navi and the BT. The only thing you can do from the Navi is use the BT connection to call phone numbers from the Navigation system. I recall there some some command in the BT menu to import phone numbers. I tried it once with my blackberry and it completely screwed the BT. I had to reset the whole thing. I have a 2006.

Hmm...that's rather odd. I'm a little late with exploring the Bluetooth in my car, had it for about a year and I just never got around to setting it up. That's kinda stupid how there isn't a direct phonebook on the Navi. I definitely don't feel like telling the Bluetooth 50 names and numbers...a bit tedious.

Its because the BT is standard on every car, the Navi is an option. The only integration is the way the Navi can dial numbers stored in its database. Yes they could have more tightly integrated the two, not sure why they didn't. Probably cost and complexity. Remember way back in 2004 when this car was developed, smartphones were few and far between and even Navi's and especially displays in cars were not as common as they are today.
