For all Nav owners...

I found this earlier on the Acura Nav update website. It is a link to report any inaccuracies (or places just missing) found in the mapping software.

Happy Trails!

I've found 3 or 4 in Colorado Springs, pity that there isn't some sort of reward for helping them correct their data base, like get one free upgrade for every 10 errors...

it is to report missing roads, missing addresses, or any other missing or wrong things. It is not for telling them that you cannot recieve a GPS signal on the 6th floor of your underground parking garage (I have never had signal problems, I would be surprised if people do).

It also is totally confused about how the Powers drive and HW 24 intersection is set up, hopefully fixed in the next revision.....

Navteq is the main provider of map information to most GPS systems (used in Garmin systems and many in car systems). In general it takes at least two years for the info to trickle down from input such as these to final useable map info.

Maybe we should rename the thread to "Nav issues in CO Springs".
Or maybe its even time to do a meet and greet around here!

Well, it sounds to me that if you use your Navs, you will all get lost....

Arizona is the same way, my house and work show nothing, the navi thinks I am driving in the desert. Maybe I could put a telestrator on it or something and draw my own roads

I always think it would be funny if your Nav yelled at you when it thinks you are off-road...

"Hey dumbass, you are driving in the water"
"Oh my god! Oh my god! you are driving the wrong way on the freeway!!!!!"

You know what though... Considering I just moved to CO Springs two weeks ago, the nav has been invaluable. Truly it has... 99% of everything I have needed to find is in there. New banks, stores, looking for houses has been a dream (Nav + MLS is a potent combination) , it has just been worth every penny so far. Sure there are times when I leave it off now, but when its time to find something new... there it is.

I did a search for Colorado Springs to find all of you guys that are around here! I've been wanting to get a meet together for quite sometime but there has not been enough people! You in?
