alignment paranoia

My TSX has about 70,000 km on it and Ive never had an alignment done and its making me crazy. The last few times I took it into the dealer and asked them to do an alignment when in for servicing, they asked me whether the car pulls under acceleration, steering shake, hit a pothole, etc. The answer is no on all counts, and they say alignment is unneccesary. I had my tires all replaced a couple of months ago, still didnt get it done. I guess my question is, should I get it done even if I notice nothing wrong? I am a nazi with the tire pressures and have examined the tires to ensure they are wearing evenly, it all looks good but ive had this car for 3 bloody years and never had an alignment done.

should i get it done for the hell of it, or is the dealer right?

If you have none of the usual symtoms AND have even tire wear, LEAVE IT ALONE!

Alignment is only needed if you adjust the suspension (aka lowered your car), or "car pulls under acceleration, steering shake, hit a pothole, " As with most things, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I am going to say : GET IT DONE.

Why ? Because it seems to me you really want it, or you wouldn't be starting a thread on this.

Heck, it's not going to hurt and if it takes $80 to make you feel "better", why not ?
For some people it's the best syntec every 3K on the dot, for some it's full detailing once every month, for some it's JDM......

Also... if it's fine you probably wont have to spend $80. Most places do the alignment check for free anyways then if your car needs it, they'll do it and hten charge you.

I also heard that the alignment should be done periodically. In fact a friend of mine had a Mazda Protege a few years back, and they suggested it done at a time interval. Seems like there is a concensus to leave it alone, so thats what I'll do, thanks for your time all!!
