Before I continue my saga, two important points to understand the saga:

1. While we were on the Big Island we rented a "Royal Blue like" convertable and my wife raved about the colour on a number of occasions.

2. In my job the last 20 years I have dealt with operational issues on a daily basis and many times have dealt with plans that have not gone as planned and have learnt not to get mad and to deal with them calmly.

I went to the dealership today to find out what happen to my Alabaster Silver 06 TSX which I was suppose to take possesion of today. I had talked to the Manager before and he was a good guy. While waiting for him to become free, I talked to a salesman regarding if they had any TSX's in. He said yes, they have three on the lot, a Royal Blue one, a white one and a Graphite one. I went out, quickly looked at the Royal Blue one, saw that it was a AT and then went back to talk to the Manager. He apoligised right away for the mix up with my TSX. I asked him if the RBP TSX was sold yet. He said no, one of his salesmen had started driving it, it had about 300 Km on it but he could sell it to me. A quick check revealed though that it did not have navi. I told him that I had a black one ordered (which he knew) and although I liked the colour and also liked white that I had reservations about both of the colours. I told him that my wife really liked the RBP and I liked it as well and how long would it take to get one. He looked at his sheets and said that he would not get one until February. I said "ohhhh". He said but I can search around the province. Quickly he found one in the Calgary inventory (a city about 4 hour south of here) and called the guy there to see if it was sold yet or not. It wasn't, I said that I would take it and the Manager said that they would have it shipped up here and prep it and I would get it next week sometime. I thought great my wife gets the colour she likes best and I get my TSX next week.

But the saga continues. After I left I called the guy back to make sure that the NBP TSX would still be there in an hour as I wanted to get some pics to show you more pics of the NBP. I knew that someone was going to go out in it as it was running when I left. The Manager said that it was out and he would call me when it came back in. He called me back, said it was back in however although the TSX was in the Calgary inventory it actaully was still at the docks in Vancouver. I now have to wait an additional week for it to be shipped to Calgary and then to Edmonton and prepped.

At least it is coming and I am happy with the colour with no reservations. All of the great reviews from everyone on the 06 has me more pumped than ever.

Here are some pics. It is a dull and snowy day here, but I think that you will get a feel for the colour.

Like the color. What's that white stuff??? You guys are lucky, you don't have front license plates.

Anyway, congratulations, the week will go by quickly although it's easy for me to say.

Glad things worked out for you Excited. What was the actual EXCUSE they gave you for all of this though? I still would like to know what they told you besides that they "lost" it,...whatever that means. I still think you should have asked for free accessories or something though.

BTW Colin, you will be pleased, we had a very good calm gentleman to gentleman discussion. They still don't know how the car disappear from the records. Apparently there are no Alabaster Silver navi TSX's in Canada.

The Manager did not know anything about the Acura Music link.

On the pics I showed above the engine block heater cord is visible and so are the splash guards which I think look okay on the NBP.

I had started writing my second post before any responses and then had to answer the phone so it may have seemed a little out of context. Thanks for the good wishes. I'm actually pretty calm and laid back right now (I'm still on Maui time) and will be able to wait patiently for my TSX. I know that it is a great car and is worth the wait.

West6MT, I wish I had a better excuse on why it got lost. The Manager said that he had never experience that before and did not get any satisfactory answers when he progressed it. It is all in the past for me, although when we do the final price I hope that so my troubles will be compensated.

Looking to the future sometime between now and Christmas I will be in my TSX.

Today would have been a miserable day to get a new car with fresh snow and dull and cold day. Maybe the day I pick it up the roads will be clear.

Colin, what's with all the scrap cars left along the side of the road in some locations.

Lots of white cars here. Surprised me how many 4X4 and SUV's are here.

I have no idea on this. Maybe its because of out mandatory insurance laws? Maybe? But there sure needs to be a lot of clean up out there cause the Abandonded vehicles are getting to be a huge pain.

I know what you mean with the SUVs. I complain because we both drive S2000s, but I don't complain too loudly because MDX sales help me pay for them.

White has always been the most popular color here, probably because it's the only one guaranteed not to fade.

Thanks for your response. We had a great time and will return. You live in Paradise. The people of Hawai are very friendly.

I plan to google some of the history of your State and about some of your current political issues.

I only saw one TSX when I was there and it was during the very last minute of my driving.

The drive to Hana on Maui would be a great one for a S2000 or a TSX. Lots and lots of tight curves.

Im glad things have worked out for you Excited. Hopefully the dealership will do something for you when the car is in. Im sure I am not the only one on the board who has seen you post so much about the TSX you SOON will have,.......and am anxiously waiting for that day to come and awaiting your appraisal/evaluation after driving it for a few days or a week. I'm sure it will be a nice day when you pick up the car.

Your not from Makaha are you?

Fortunately it was a black one with an OEM spoiler.

(It's funny when I thought that I might end up with a black one, I was considering getting an OEM spoiler again. I'm back to the M3style for the RBP)

West6MT I am also waiting to be able to post about an actual TSX that I own.

One thing that the Manager said to me that was news to me and I'm sorry if it has already been posted, is that at least for the Canadian TSX's it looks like the 3 year 60,000 km vehicle distributors limited warranty has been increase to 4 years, 70,000 kms.

Boy, this thread brings back memories. I wrote it during my vacation in Hawaii and was extremely disappointed with the news. I didn't haggle much because of it though. I wanted the TSX so bad at the time.

It hasn't disappointed me.

Love my TSX.
