So far the average age is 28 years old from 31 replies (a decent sample, considering the informality of the survey). A little younger than I expected, but not surprising, considering its a message board. Again, I think the average buyer would be a little older than the average for the TSX online community (kudos to the older guys on this board).
Wonder what Acura marketing have as their target market (someone must have seen a news release or something). I say the core market (despite our sample) for the TSX is somewhere in the 30 to 45 range and is mostly geared towards men (hence Maxim's recent interest in the TSX).
There are obviously a lot of younger guys with TSXs, but these are overachievers and IMO 20-somethings would be seen by Acura, in general, as being targets for the RSX, EL and Civic (mostly for affordability on the Civic and EL).

Helped invent the computer? Hmm...
Anyways..I was just teasing. But seriously...most 50+ people I know are very intimidated by computers..and technology in general. They are usually the ones with 12:00 blinking all over their house.

27 years old. Art Director (pretty much a glorified Graphic Artist) and California gubernatorial candidate .
Side note: when I was looking up how to spell gubernatorial, this is what it says:
Of or relating to a governor.
From Latin gubernátor, governor, from gubernáre, to govern. See govern.
Maybe we should be referring to Arnold as the Gubernator.

I'm 40, mid-level supply chain manager and married with two kids. I'm a little too old to be making impulse buys but I couldn't resist the TSX. I have actually been getting up a little earlier and taking longer routes in to work just to be able to drive a little further, I'm having so much fun behind the wheel.
I had a 92 Honda Prelude Si (Fresco Blue Pearl) that was very similar in feel to the TSX. I drove it like a demon (or perhaps idiot ) when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 90's. At 130, the Prelude felt like it was going 60. The TSX feels every bit as stable and able as the Prelude (though I'll probably never take her anywhere near 130 now).
Change of topic - Can I change my user name to "CAPTAIN TSX?"

Still, none of his clocks flash 12:00. Nor do ours.
My wife, BTW, was intimidated by PCs in the days of QDOS, even though she grew up playing with mainframe computer circuit boards. If you remember QDOS, can you blame her? Now with Windows or a Mac, it's just another cranky appliance, she uses a laptop for work.
Have a friend in his late 60s who's a professor of computer science. So I don't think age is the only variable. Kinda like people who buy Acura TSXs with stick shifts....
