Question Aftermarket Axle recommendations -please

As the title says, I am about to replace axles and do not want to spend 1 grand on the OEM honda ones that don't seem to last long. Can anybody recommend me something that worked well??
I remember a user saying that the Empi axles were good.

Thanks!

I know definitely stay away from advance auto or autozone axles. I never tried axles from Napa but my axle is going out on my civic and i am thinking about trying one from napa. Any body here tried their axles?

I'll give you a bit of my experience.

I replaced the axles with NEW Cardone axles from AdvancedAuto for my Integra and Accord. I know most people say stay away from Cardone. Never had one issue with them in over 4 years we had them (we sold the cars) and installation went smoothly. This was around 2004ish I guess.

Skip forward to 2010. I had to replace them on my mom's 99 Accord. Advanced Auto changed to some Canadian company I don't remember. I take everything apart, the splines won't match up on the transmission side. Had to put the old ones back on. Tried again with the Napa ones (new as well). Everything went in smoothly. I go to start it up and test it out, grinding noise. Luckily I got it in time. The splines were a bit thin and caused them to slip at the hub. I had to knock it out a bit as it was seized up good.

I paid 3x ($300 each) for the Honda's, went in with no problems and have had zero issues. I won't chance it again getting aftermarket axles especially after the problems I had. If the issue with the Napa parts were on the other side in the transmission god only knows how much that would have cost to repair.

Either I have bad luck at getting QA's worst products or the aftermarket stuff if junk.

I had the same issue replacing a brake caliper last week. Got one from Autozone and the bleeder valve was leaking. Bought a reman one from Honda for twice the price, no issues.

I bought Raxles for my 94 Accord after going through 2 sets of AZ axles w/ no cure for vibration under acceleration.

Raxles cost between $100-$150, depending on whether they accept your old axle for credit. In my case they would not, and I returned the axles to AZ for credit, a better deal.

good luck
