adding 220-330cpi cat to test pipe.

Hi I have a test pipe on my tsx which I love except it has a mild resonate at 2000rpm and I can smell the raw exhasut smell.

I normally don;t mind the smell but this car is worse then the many other vehicles I have had with no cats not sure why.

I would like to add a high flow cat to absorb some sound as a secondary feature, but I really want it to kill the smell. I don;t mind using a mil eliminator with it.

what cheap option do I have for a 2.25 cat to weld in place? would a smaller one flow more or a larger one? I know I will be using a spun cat. magnaflow, carsound etc.

You can simply replace the test pipe with a bolt-on high flow cat instead of welding on a cat to the test pipe.

I would rather add one.

I can weld so its about a 3rd of the cost to add one.
