Acura tsx 2004 New here
Hello, i notice that you look like you guys understand alot about acura.
I am looking at an acura tsx 2004 with 190 000 km auto
I am going to buy it for 8000(canada alberta, not sure if good price also) but there was one problem about the car, when driving ( not sure 1 or 2 gear) i went and redline it. When it got to 6000 rpm to 7000(did not feel push for vtec )i heard something weird, I could not really tell if it was the engine or transmission> Its like a buzzing ticking sound. also been service at acura too. foreverything , so i could not really tell.
I wanted to get a acura el 1.7 but i can find one to my needs.
also that was my first time driving an tsx drove another one , heard something like it but not as loud
Thanks

not really sure what the noise was that you were talking about, but all i can say is that the engine in ivtec so you will never actually feel it. the old style vtec actually had an initiate point for the it, the new ivtec is continuous, you will never feel it kick in. i hope that helps a little.

Summer is Coming
Personally I would stay away from the 2004 model. It had the most problems. If you can get a 2006 for a price you can afford I'd go with that. The 2006 was the MMC year and it had some nice improvements and the bugs worked out. A 2005 would be better than a 2004.... generally.
