acura service dealership or no?

So im currently looking at a tsx, and i wanted to get inspected before i get it..Do you guys recommend me bringing it to an acura dealership to get it inspected?

The car is a 04 with 51k miles. 30k maintenance was done, tranny oil flush, oil change every 3k with mobil 1. Askin price, 13.8k sounds good or nahh?

Personally I would have it checked out just to make sure (peace of mind)

No, most dealerships won't even do the type of inspection you want because of liability issues.

Go to the stealership to ask for service records, fine...(but the previous owner will likely need to be with you)...but pick out a local independent shop that specializes in either Honda/Acura or Japanese imports (depends on your home market size) and will agree to inspect. But expect them to make you agree not to hold them liable for oversights...

If a dealership will do it, I think that's fine. Just call and ask. They would probably know the car best anyway. If not, call a private shop. Mine did one no problem back in the day.

I agree with trying to get a service history from Acura. And any shop that specializes in foreign cars (preferably Japanese) should be able to check out the car. Oh, and I think the price is at about $2K too high.
