Hello,
I am trying to buy a certified pre-owned 05 tsx with 32k miles. The dealer is offering me an acura care extended warranty for 7yr/100k with $0 deductible for $1000. I dont know if this is a reasonable price. I remember someone mentioning that the true price for this wrap warranty is $700 or less and can be bought only from dealer for a pre-owned certified. Would anyone have a rough estimate on how much does this warranty actually cost and how useful it is? Also, are similar warranties (if not the same) available later on that can be bought if the car is less than 4yr/50k or should they be bought only at time of purchase from dealer?

I would really appreciate your inputs.

Keep in mind that if the car is certified, then it already comes with another 1 year/12k mile warranty (5 yrs/62k mile bumper to bumper) and 7 yrs/100k mile warranty for the drivetrain.

Your input was very useful in bargaining with the dealer last time. This acura care extended warranty that the dealer is offering is extending the 5yr/62 bumper-bumper to essentially 7yr/100k. He was offering it for $1000. I read in one of the forums that the price for this extended warranty is usually around $700 when you buy it with a certified car from a dealer. So I wanted to check to see what people are actually paying for it and how useful is it given the warranty with certification? If you/anyone has bought this, can you please share with me the price for this acura care extended warranty for 7yr/100k with $0 deductible?
