Acura dealer .75 miles from my house!

Acura of Pasadena is moving to Glendale. So, it will no longer matter if Acura does not always provide loaner cars. Since I work from home several days a week, I can just leave the car there and then work from home.

Ah!!~ I always wished my dealer was close from home. I had to drive 30 miles just for an oil change. That's one of the reasons why I switched to FX35. 1 min. distance from my house.

I thought long and hard about this before I bought the TSX. the Honda dealer is only a mile or so from my office, so I used to drop the car off there in the morning and take public transport to the office. But, this will work almost as well.

I have a dealer about 3 miles away from me. But they wouldn't budge on the price so I drove out about 20 miles to purchase my TSX from the next dealer.

BTW. Can I get my Acura serviced for warranty problems at any Acura?

I hope their service is good.

My family has always gotten our Acuras from the same dealership, though we now use our local dealer for service since it's about 1.5 miles away.

Sure. Sometimes they are a bit nicer to you if you bought it the same place you have it serviced, but for the most part, that is a non-issue. I've never had my vehicles serviced in the same place I bought them.

Since I'm there so often and they've refused to re-locate closer to me, I'm thinking about moving closer to my dealer.

LOL.

Why are you there so often, Domm? Has your TSX had a lot of problems?

I was suprised by how many of those little problems had built up when I went to the dealer. I had

1) The door buzz
2) HVAC control module failure
3) Armrest not opening correctly
4) Minor discoloration on the paint
5) Rattle with door gasket
6) Sliding seat

The dealer was responsive wilth all the problems, but I was suprised by how few parts they had in stock. I've had to make multiple trips to get it all done.

They also did a couple of small things that pissed me off. Minor issue but they washed my car after I asked them about five times not to.

Also, they removed the HVAC module with my CDs in it. So, now I have to wait for Honda USA to remove the CDs and send them back to me.

That brings the term "loaner vehicle" to a new high!

My feeling too.
There are a couple times I found missing plastic "clips/fasteners" that are used in several places, both times 2 different dealers don't stock them so they had to put in an order for llittle shitty thing like that.

I don't know what that is about, because I didn't have that experience with Honda. With my last two Accords, I think there was only one time where they needed a part that hd to be ordered.
