6mt needs a little effort to shift into 2nd???

i had the car for 1600 miles now and it's luvly and schweetz!!!
anyway after the car has broken in i've been push'in it almost everytime and i notice that shifting from 1st to 2nd at full throttle and high RPM(actually around 6000rpm) needed a little more effort to shift when i'm in lower rpms, also shifting from 2rd to 3rd. i'm not sure if this is normal or not??? however i have misshifted ONCE could that be the problem??? OR it's the same for every 6mts???

Not sure if, by "more effort," you mean more concentration or more pressure. But for me, the 1-2 shift at high RPM does take a lot more concentration to avoid a misshift or an ugly bogging situation. Some of this has been discussed in other threads (the one entitled "why does drive by wire suck?" comes to mind, but that may have been on the other site).

misshifting prolly isn't the problem.

i think everyone is feeling some notchiness when shifting from 1-2.

Try rev-match for a smoother 1st to 2nd transition.
This technique works like a champ for me but this requires more driver input.

MT.. sounds like a lot of work. What happened to all that "buttery smooth" talk?

keep it up. makes me feel less guilty about never learning stick and seeing AT w/SS as the better option.
